Same surname?

I was uncomfortable throughout the entire time in class. I wasn't even concentrating on what Miss Olympia was teaching. I could feel Rock's stare on my back throughout the entire class.

I sighed in relief as the bell rang and immediately I dashed out of the class. I was sure I startled almost everyone.

I ran and at the same time, I had no idea why I was running. I didn't stop until I got to my secret hideout. A little garden in the school.

Something about that guy was just too scary. I wanted to run from him and at the same time be with him.

' Wait! Where did that come from?' I thought as I knocked myself on the head.

" You know it wouldn't be bad to try to know him" my subconscious whispered and I ignored her. There was no way I was listening to her. Something was just too off about the guy.

I moved to settle my butt on the soft grass and brought out my phone to play one of my favorite songs.

' You Belong with Me' by Taylor Swift. I nodded slightly as the song started to play. It was like I could feel Taylor's expression through the music. I was so deep in Listening to the song I didn't notice when the Rock guy entered invading my private space.

He coughed to attract my attention and I froze for a second before lifting my head slowly to look at him. I was stunned to see him, he still had the annoying smirk on his face.

I decided to lash at him for invading my privacy but I couldn't open my mouth to do so as my eyes met his. It was like I was captured by the sentiment in it. I snapped out of my daze when he saw how his eyes were roaming around my body. I felt uncomfortable and decided to cough to attract his attention.

He stopped gawking and looked up at me. I decided to start a little conversation to ease the tension. It wouldn't hurt, right?

I asked if we knew each other before or perhaps our families were business associates but he denied it. He also explained he had never been in this country before except for now and he was here on an assignment.

We started conversing and I realized he wasn't as bad as I thought and was kinda corny instead. I couldn't believe it when he explained he was a prince. I had never seen Royalty before in my life well except for Ruby.

He asked for my name and I told him. He repeated after me making sure my name roll off his tongue. I felt shivers in me immediately. The way he called my name was kinda sexy and it awakened something deep inside me.

I decided to distract myself by asking for his name since I didn't know it. He denied introducing himself in class.

Unfortunately, my asking came out wrong because I kinda stammered while asking. I think he noticed because he smiled as he told me his name in his husky voice.

" Rex Qin".

I was shocked. 'He and Ruby were bearing the same surname? Are they perhaps related?' I wondered. Now I remember, they are both royalty. Could this means they could be siblings?

" Anything wrong," He asked. Guessed he noticed my mood.

I turned to look at him while turning my head sideways signifying no. I had no idea why I lied but it seemed like the right thing to do at the moment.

" Hmmm nothing" I replied nervously and he gave me a look that says " I don't believe you".

" I was just wondering why your name sounded familiar" I lied and he gave an "oh".

" Really?" He asked and I nodded hastily. He looked at me briefly before turning away. 'Why do I have a feeling he doesn't believe me?' I wondered and my annoying subconscious came again to whisper.

" Because he does not".

" Shut up, how could you know?" I asked and no reply came. She had gone back.

" The annoying nuisance" I muttered under my breath and Rex immediately turned to look at me startling me in the process.

" You said?" He asked.

"Nothing" I replied and he nodded before looking away again.

There was dead silence for a few moments and I weirdly found it awkward so I decided to break the silence by asking him a question which was kinda bugging me.

" So why didn't you introduce yourself in class today?" I asked curiously secretly hoping he would satisfy my curiosity and not ignore my question and thankfully he did not.

He smiled briefly for a few minutes before replying.

" Nothing really" He answered. " I just felt it wasn't important" He added and I gave a little chuckle.

" You bet it was, at least to your admirers," I said and he looked at me for a few seconds before looking away.

" Well it was not to me," He said and I just sighed.

" If you don't introduce yourself, how would people address you or even start a conversation?" I asked and he shrugged.

" Well I don't need to interact with anyone and I think by not sharing my name, I have proved to everyone I am not here for interaction" he explained.

" I am guessing that includes me?" I asked teasingly hoping he will say no.

"Of course not, you are an exception," He said and I blushed secretly.

" I told you my name didn't I ?" He asked and I turned my head sideways to smile secretly.
