"Here we are, this is it, my uncle's old house. I used to play here a lot when I was a kid. Now my uncle and his family have moved to the city, so the house has been left idle. It's perfect for our temporary hideout,"
Mo Fei surveyed the surroundings and nodded in satisfaction. The house was a bit rundown, but it was remote enough, safe enough.
A dark shadow retrieved his gaming helmet from the trunk of the car, and the two entered the house, which was in a state of neglect. There wasn't a single decent piece of furniture, just a rusty wire bed, a recliner, and a few plastic stools, all of them covered in dust.
There was a wardrobe too, its doors flung open, stuffed full of worn bedding and clothes.
Mo Fei didn't mind. It was just for one day; as long as it provided shelter from the elements, it was enough.
