Orion: "I want to raid the Undead dungeon."
Rose: "Chad, are you sure? I sometimes doubt you are somehow a high-ranking individual keeping a low profile. Anyway, here are the details of the dungeon, and be careful; you will be the first one to enter the dungeon."
Orion: "See you later." With his charming smile, he left.
The dungeon was located near the graveyard of the city in the west. In between the graves, there was a blue space portal opening. 'Is the dungeon environment dependent on the natural energy surrounding it?'
Orion entered the dungeon, unlike the previous one. He found himself in a graveyard again, similar to the outside, but there was a huge castle amidst the graves. Orion thought, 'That castle is the undead's castle where the dungeon boss should be present.'
From the castle, an Undead bishop came into view. He took a sceptre in his hand and raised it, roaring, "Raise Undead." The ground shook, and hundreds of Undead skeletons rose from the grave and started heading towards Orion.
"Guess it's time to send you back from where you came, your grave." Orion took his sword and shaped it like a Rapier to cut through their bones and attack the mana gem inside of them, as it was the only effective way to defeat them.
In front of Orion, there were hundreds of undead. He had a rapier in his hands and a pair of short jade swords attached to long chains (similar to Kai from Kung fu panda's weapon). Orion jumped from his position and roared as he entered amidst the Undead. He pierced through their chests, broke their bones, and glided through the battlefield using his long chain swords, anchoring them on Undead's skulls. The fight continued, but rather than a fight, it was a slaughterhouse. Orion was furnishing his swords to cut the fat overgrown sheep with ease.
After quite a while, all was silent in the dungeon. Only bones were present across the battlefield with E-rank cores scattered across it. In the center of it all stood Orion.
Orion thought, 'I should probably train some dogs to fetch all this loot. Huh, gotta find a magical pet then.'
Orion went across the battlefield, collecting those hundreds of mana cores. 'Why do I feel like collecting them is more painful than fighting those skeletons?' Orion completed his collection and went inside the castle. There was an Undead throne, and beside it was the Undead dungeon boss, Undead bishop, one of the twelve apostles of the Pope.
Bishop: "Human, you dare trespass the castle? I would bury you and turn you into an Undead."
Orion: "Can you please offer me your skull? I just want to awaken the bishop. I don't want to fight you but the Pope."
Bishop: "You dare utter the Pope's name. I am going to burn you!" He conjured fireballs and shot them at Orion.
Orion used the jade weapons to deflect the incoming fireballs. Bamp! Bamp! 'Damn, it's as if someone is firing with a machine gun. I have two ways to defeat him: either exhaust him until mana exhaustion or get close enough to attack his mana core. Even if I were to exhaust him, I would also be exhausted, which is not a potential gain, and I even have to fight with the Pope.'
Orion slashed the incoming fireballs, jumped from one position to another, and glided using his jade swords. The moment he tried to close on the boss, the bishop increased his range, and the output of the fireballs increased.
Orion backflipped and reappeared behind the bishop, driving through the nebula in his chest. 'Hooh, that was hot.' Orion took off its head and placed it atop the throne. The whole place started trembling, and dust and dirt fell from the ceiling.
Orion: "Gotta get out of here before this whole place crumbles."
The whole mansion started shaking; pillars cracked, and the whole place was rumbling. It crashed down to the ground. After a while, a tombstone arose from the rumbles of the mansion and rose up and started floating. It continued to float until thump.
Thump! Thump! Orion's heart raced as the door started opening.
Creak. A beautiful man with blonde hair came out of it wearing church clothes, and as he opened his eyes, the whole environment started getting foggy and cold.
Pope: "Child, why did you awaken me?" He asked with his black eyes.
Orion: "Oh, can I get the hidden reward without killing you?"
Pope: "Oh, so you wish to die, child?" He answered solemnly.
Orion laughed maniacally, "Hahahhahahah, hehehe, that's what I expected from the D-rank boss. Well, you were half right about what I wish? I wish for you to die."
Orion took dozens of bottles of a transparent green liquid from his storage ring and bathed his sword in it.
Orion: "I may not be able to match your strength at my level, but this sword here bathed with holy water is gonna even the battlefield."
Pope: "Oh boy, do you think you can fight me with your meager strength?"
Orion didn't respond as he had his trump card if plans started going south. Orion jumped at the Pope with his sword; the Pope evaded it with ease and started summoning skeletons.
Orion: 'I should act as if I am having a hard time defeating them and continue to evade and reduce their numbers so he continues to waste mana on these canon fodders.'
Orion continued to act as if he were playing at the hands of the Pope and slashed, striking at the skeletons. More and more skeletons were summoned, and Orion was on his last stand.
