Orion returned to his family's ancestral estate, where all the family members were buried, and approached the center where the patriarchs of the past rested. Though he had the capability to resurrect previous patriarchs, he hesitated, considering the potential dangers posed by older primordial vampires.
Opening a grave, Orion was astounded by the vitality of the man lying before him. Over a hundred years had passed since his death, yet he remained intact. His long, white hair and frail body emitted an eerie chill. Orion replaced the body with animal bones, covering his tracks to prevent detection. Inside a cave, he laid the body on a stone platform, took out his Nebula, and, tearing through his muscles, replaced the old heart with a new one.
Changes began manifesting across his body. Swollen cheeks receded, hair turned black, and his toes started moving. He rose from the stone platform, and a voice echoed, "Why did you awaken me from my sleep?" An overpowering red aura filled the room, causing Orion to crumble under the suffocating pressure and fall to his knees.
"Great-grandfather, please help me awaken my aura and become as strong as you," Orion pleaded.
Nathan scrutinized him and inquired, "Are you Adam's son?"
"Yes, I am his son," Orion replied.
"Hmm, you do resemble him, but it's surprising for someone from my family to have white hair. Well, I'll believe you. Even if you are my grandson, why should I forgive you for disturbing my sleep?"
"Grandpa, I want to become the strongest aura swords master on the continent like you. Please help me. Besides, that artifact can only grant one week of vitality," Orion implored.
Nathan, with a neutral expression, contemplated deeply. "Brat, you've already revived me in this wretched world, so I'll train you in my path. But first, answer why you want to become a swordsman at such a tender age."
Orion was aware that Nathan was the worst patriarch of the Nightshades family, focusing on creating a peaceful era instead of fighting for resources. Orion responded, "I want to conquer the world under my name, Orion NightShade."
Nathan mused, "Do you comprehend the meaning behind those words? You'll have to wage wars, bringing suffering to thousands for your selfish desire to conquer the world."
Orion asserted, "Sacrifices are essential for the further growth of society. The world needs a strong leader who will lead it to a new era, and that is me."
Nathan, considering Orion's bold philosophy, snorted, "Brat, your ideology violates mine, and you're asking for my help to achieve these goals. Hmph! Delusional."
Orion, baffled by Nathan's childish behavior, proposed, "Why don't we make a bet? You train me, and in return, I'll show you how I will challenge the world in my path of conquering it. Either I will conquer it or die trying."
Impressed, Nathan agreed, "Brat, your greed will make your life miserable. Fine, I'll teach you for the next three weeks and observe your growth and hardships."
Overjoyed, Orion thanked the patriarch. "Thank you, patriarch. But how will you live that long when the artifact can only sustain you for a month?"
Nathan assured him, "You don't have to worry about that. Vitality is based on the concept of cell division. By mastering aura to a certain stage, you will be able to do the same. Well technically my body has only a fragment of vitality as it used to have, if you would've revived me earlier i would've been here for more months, even years. "
Orion asked, "You mean to say I will become immortal if I master aura?"
Nathan clarified, "Greedy as ever, aren't you? At my stage, vitality can last for a few hundred years. An Aura Emperor's vitality, on the other hand, lasts for a few thousand years. Beyond that, there is a fabled realm where one transcends to become a being akin to a god. Though no one in Pandora's history has achieved it, the concept remains in the ruins of ancient civilizations."
Leaving these thoughts aside, Nathan declared his decision to start training, cautioning Orion about the challenges of aura awakening. Orion acknowledged, and Nathan, amused by Orion's tactics, inquired about the state of the NightShades family.
Orion met Nathan's gaze and replied, "Miserable. My father is not fit for the position, and his greed, without power to back it up, has led to its demise."
Nathan slammed his hand on his head. "Oh, that fool. I always remembered his prideful nature, feigning ignorance as he was just a child. I suppose he has become a man hated by his own son."
"Anyways setting that aside brat, apart from you no one should know about my existence, it is forbidden to revive the dead. Forget the other noble families; even the demonic cult members will hunt you to death for such a method."
"Yes, grandfather, I will make sure none will be aware of your existence."
"Yeah, good. Now you can go now. Others will get suspicious of your disappearance. Ah... yes, while you come back tomorrow, bring a lot of wooden swords, hammers, spears with you each of different shapes and sizes. I suppose the space ring that you are trying to hide from me might help."
"Ah... about that, hmph, grandpa, don't bully me. Fine, I'll come back." And acting like a spoiled brat, I left.
"Damn! This brat. How can kids be so cunning and scheming? Gotta teach him a lesson and break some of his bones. Hahahahahhah. Orion Nightshade, don't disappoint me."
"Crazy old man."
