WAKE-UP KISS

"Let me carry..."K5's voice tapered off when Yun Jinghan shot him a glare. K5 didn't know why the boss was mad when he was just offering help. It's not that Miss Luo was heavy but he knew his boss had done nothing like carrying a woman on his arm for a long time and he was worried his boss was tired since the area where they found Miss Luo was a bit far from where her hotel was. When they arrived at the bank of elevators, K5 pressed the button and waited till his boss got in before following inside. 

The next day, Yun Jinghan neared the bed soundlessly and sat on the empty side. He watched the rise and fall of her chest as she slept peacefully. Recalling how much she cried last night after he brought her back, anger rose in his heart. He believed her past relationship with the Wen Family made her that sad. Because of this, he ordered Amy to bring in the proposal the Wen Family sent 2 weeks ago so he could review it, albeit he already refused in the past. He promised not to meddle with her problem but it didn't mean he wouldn't push some buttons too. 

There was an urge in Yun Jinghan to touch her face. Extending his hand forward, he lifted the strands of hair that was covering her face and pushed them aside. Feeling uncontented, he played with her hair before running his forefinger from her forehead down to her nose. A soft complaint escaped her lips as she moved her head. His hand paused immediately. He didn't want her to wake up yet. Not when he desired to kiss her. He'd been wanting to do that since the day he felt his heart thumped for the first time and he'd been fighting over that urge for a long time. 

The urge won over this time. As he moved closer, his pulse race in excitement. But before his lips landed, she suddenly opened her eyes. 

"What are you doing?"

Yun Jinghan froze. Then he smiled as nothing happened. "You're awake. There's no need for a wake-up kiss then."

"Wake-up kiss?" Feeling disoriented, Luo Jingyi sat up. She rubbed her forehead. It felt like her head was going to split up. 

Yun Jinghan moved away, walking to the round table on the other side of the room. He poured water in the glass. "Snow White woke up when her Prince Charming kissed her."

"And so?" she asked, wondering what he meant. She was still muddleheaded that her brain couldn't process his words. She barely even noticed that she wasn't on her bed. 

Yun Jinghan glanced at her. "I wanted to test the theory to prove that I'm the man you are destined to be with." 

Hearing the words, Luo Jingyi felt the pain in her head intensified. "Are sure that's the real reason?" She knew he didn't want to admit that he wanted to take advantage of the situation. When she saw him nod, Luo Jingyi let out a weak smirk and asked, "And if I didn't?"

"Well, I will still be your man." He returned to the side and passed the glass of water and medicine to her. 

After drinking, Luo Jingyi closed her eyes and thought of what he said. It sounded really nice to the ear but she wasn't sure if he really meant it, especially that there was that mirth in his eyes again. Putting it aside, she suddenly opened her eyes and looked around. She was inside a luxurious underwater suite. The floor-to-ceiling window showed colorful fish, stingrays, and other aquatic animals as they glided past. Imagine waking up to this view, it was indeed relaxing. However, she wasn't feeling that way especially after noticing she was wearing a pair of pajamas. Worry crossed her eyes. "Who changed....?" 

Yun Jinghan noticed her uncomfortable expression when she couldn't bring herself to finish the question. "It was me."

When Luo Jingyi gave him a complicated look, he said, "Oh don't worry, I didn't look."

And that made her more awkward.

Yun Jinghan gave her congee for breakfast. It was simple but it helped soothe her irritated stomach lining. She wanted to hit her head for mixing different kinds of drinks. She should never do that again no matter how depressed she was. She cast him a glance before asking pensively, "Did I do something stupid?" 

She became worried when Yun Jinghan lowered his head with a nod. "What did I do?"

"You clung to me tightly. You stole kisses from me. You even tried to remove my clothes."

Kisses?! No way!... Luo Jingyi nearly dropped her spoon. "Don't tell lies."

"Why should I?" Yun Jinghan rolled the sleeves of his shirt. "Look at this."

Luo Jingyi saw the faint trace of a bite mark on his forearm... Is he telling the truth? Or?... She doubted him but she couldn't help taking into consideration her behavior too when she was drunk. Although her alcohol tolerance was high, there were times when her emotional state succumbs to liquor and she ended up doing strange things. There were even times when she harmed herself. "I'm sorry." 

Yun Jinghan stared at her for some time. When he tried to calm her last night, she pulled his hand and bit him. She even stepped on his foot twice because she didn't want to change her clothes. She was drunk and emotional but she was somewhat aware of protecting herself. He wanted to recount all her actions but doing so might even make her unhappy and embarrassed. 

"Since you've already taken advantage of my chastity, you should be responsible and propose marriage to me."

Luo Jingyi stood. "Don't be absurd!"
