Chapter thirteen (bonus chapter)

Hazel's pov;

After I had screamed, Lucian came quickly to my direction. I just wanted to get a little bit more into the water, but the rock I was stepping on was a bit wobbly, which made me to lose my balance and I fell, supporting my weight with my left knee, it was so painful.

"What is it? " He asked after he pulled me out of the water.

"I fell, my knee hurts, " I said then hissed.

He slowly lifted my gown to my knee, after he saw blood dripping to my leg.

"It's bleeding we need to go back to the palace, " Lucian said very concerned. He helped me up on Bukla, then he sat behind me. He held the leash, and made my head to lay on his muscular chest.

I was feeling a lot of pain, but I didn't want to cry and make him even more worried, so I just had to bear with it.

"Hold on Hazel, I will get you home now, " He promised. But he didn't ride so fast like the first time.

When we arrived at the castle, we stopped near our quarter, he got down first, then I told him I will get down by myself and suddenly, my knee pained even more, I didn't want to show him I was in pain.

His men came and took Bukla to the stable after his permission.

"Are you okay? " He asked after we were left alone and he realized that I couldn't walk fast.

"Yeah, I'm good, " I lied again.

It seems like he sensed. I then felt his warm arm behind my back, and the other behind my knees. He slowly lifted me.

"What are you doing? " I asked but I was already on the air.

"Carrying you of course, " He replied as he was still carrying me.

"I know, but I can walk, " I said trying to resist his service.

"Wife, you're hurt and it will take forever until we arrive to our room and I am very tired, " He said proceeding on carrying me towards our chamber.

Did he just call me wife? I asked myself then I stared at his long beautiful black hair. I really felt good at the moment.

When we reached our room, he slowly placed me on the bed, suddenly, my pain was triggered. Lucian quickly took the bowl of water and a towel from the maidservant. He told then not to call the physician, that he got this. He then dismissed the maids out of the room.

Once we were alone, Lucian sat on the chair nearby. He then pulled my dress on top of my knee to my thighs.

"I... I think I can do it my self, " I said try5 to resist his help.

"Hazel just stay still, " He said holding my leg. His touch was soft and tender and he tried his best to be careful not to hurt me.

But it was really painful as he was wiping the wound. The cut a bit deep, as he was passing the clean towel to it, he kept blowing to ease the pain.

I then looked at him, and a question popped in my head and I had to ask him.

"Why are you helping me? " I asked curiously.

"You are my responsibility as my wife, Hazel, " He responded whil5 placing away the bowl. He then pulled my dress down.

"Go get changed, as I go call the maid servants for you, " He told me.

I was already done with my dinner and Lucian had not yet come back. I decided I won't sleep until he came back.

After an hour, he got in. I was at the balcony and without my robe.

"Hazel what, are you doing here? It's cold you might catch a cold, " He said feeling worried then he gently pulled me back into the room and he closed the door.

I then sat on the bed, as he went to change into his sleeping clothes.

He then switched off the lights and only the bed lamp, was on. He sat on the bed, his back faced towards me.

"Thank you Lucian... And I'm sorry that I got you so worried, " I state.

He just sighed, then got in. He pulled me close to him as usual. He wrapped his hand around my slender waist, and the other he patted my hair. "It's alright, as long as you're safe, " He said. Since we were both tired, we decided to sleep.

Lucian's pov;

It was I the middle of the night and there was a commotion downstairs. This woke me up.

"Something is wrong, " I said waking up and got of the bed.

Hazel then also woke and followed me. When we reached downstairs, we found few servants arguing about something.

"What is going on in here? "I asked them making them to turn. They all bowed when they recognized our presence.

They were having scared faces and looked down. There were three guards and give maids. They explained to us that one of the maid servants had stolen Hazel's hair clip.

" I'm sorry his highness "she started explaining. " I needed the money for my mother's treatment, she is very sick... I'm very sorry, "she said then started crying.

I saw the hair clip in her hand. " But what you have done is so wrong, why didn't you tell the butler your money problems and he would have helped you, "I told her.

She just lowered her head and couldn't face us.

Then one of the soldiers knelt before us, and said, " Your highness, her highness, this is my small sister, I told her to wait as talk to the butler to help us out, but she was too impatient... Please spear her and let me have her punishment, "he state.

I then sighed. " Since it is her highness' property,I will let her decide your punishment, " I said.

Hazel then looked at the maid then his brother.

"Stand up, stealing isn't the right thing to do and that won't solve your problems. I forgive you and you can the hair clip, next time if you have any problem you should tell us, is it clear? " I state.

It seems everyone was astonished, including I. I was really surprised.

"Thank you so much, my lady, " She responded as she bowed.

"Thank you her highness this will not happen again, we promise you, " Said the brother.

I then dismissed them and they left the room to their staff quarters.

"Shall we head back to our room, " I state walking towards her, I was smiling at her. She just stared at me with those brown eyes. I then carried her in bridal style, and we went up the stairs then to our room.

When we reached to our bedroom, I placed her on the bed and i also got inside. When she was about to turn, I quickly turned her making her to face upwards. I then got on top of her.

"What are you doing? " She asked.

I didn't answer, just bit my lower lip and leaned closer to her neck. I had pinned her on the bed as I held her hands into the sheets, so that she couldn't move. I then kissed her neck. Her scent was driving me crazy. She then released a moan. This made me want for more but, not now! I told my demon. I got of her.

"I really admire what you did dow stairs, "I state.

" Well I didn't see any point of executing the young girl, it was just a warning, "she told me.

I then grabbed her by the waist and pulled her close to my body.

" Don't you think you kind,"I whispered. Our faces were so close to each other, almost kissing. I could feel her warm breath as she tried her best to breathe.

"I did what I had to do, " She replied. "Lucian, I am tired, I need to rest, " She added.

She then turned away and faced the other side.

"Good night then, " I said letting go of her waist.
