Chapter ten

Hazel's pov;

When I woke up in the morning, Lucian had already left and wasn't anywhere to be seen In the room.

"Her highness, his highness has told us to take care of you because he had to go out for a while, " One of the maids told me.

My bath was prepared, I got inside the bath tub and enjoyed my bath. My maids helped me into my gown, put make up on my face and they combed my hair and a golden hai clip was fixed into my hair. I looked awesome.

Then I had my breakfast at the bedroom balcony, and went to my favorite place, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻.

I was just roaming around the garden, then I heard some maids gossiping.

"I don't even understand why he married her, she might be noble but, I don't think she's his type, "

"Yeah people say that his type is aggressive bitches and bad to, "

"And worst of all what if he hurts her, you know he is the devil's son, "

"Maybe even kill her if she disobeys him, "

I just couldn't blame them they don't know me and they are to foolish to talk about the royals like that.

"But she's really beautiful, she can't be compared to his highness' other mistresses,"

I then appeared to them and stood in front of them, only to find three maid servants and two guards.

They were startled and they all bowed.

"Her highness... Wh... What can we do for you? " One maidservant asked.

I just looked at them pretenders of the highest level.

"I'm fine.... Don't worry I heard everything, but there is no need of punishment because you judge to much and yet you don't know everything.... But I think you should all go back to work, so that you can feed families, " I said then left them with awe.

Then another maidservant was walking to my direction.

"Excuse me, "

"Yes my princess, " She said then bowed.

"It's alright... I'm have seen Lu...

I almost forgot he told me not to use his real name in front of the servants.

" Have you seen his highness? "I asked her.

" After I cleaned his room, he got in and said that he doesn't want to be disturbed, "she replied not looking directly into my eyes.

" Okay you may leave, "

After she left, I decided to head to Lucian's room. Yeah, there is our room and another that he likes staying in when he doesn't want to be bothered. But I have been giving him all the space that he needs, but right now, no way I have to know what is wrong with him.

I quickly got out of the garden and headed for the stairs, then to the direction of the Royal's chambers.

When I arrived, the door wasn't quite closed, without knocking I allowed myself inside

Looking and calling he wasn't anywhere to be seen. I then saw a letter on the desk beside the bed. Out of curiosity, I took it and read it.

'𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸, 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴'

The note was written with blood, I was shocked. Lucian then appeared behind me.

I quickly turned to see it was just him.

"You startled me Lucian, " I said.

"What is this? " I asked showing him the note.

"It's nothing, just someone asking for his death wish, " He answered then he grabbed it from my slender fingers.

"But it looks serious, you should be careful Lucian, " I said.

He just put on a smirk. "Don't worry about it, I will take care of it. I think I know who did it, " He said.

"See you later, " He said then Pat my head and headed for the door, leaving me standing there.
