Should Avril Reject Him?.

Ariel's nose twitched as it caught the scent of who she didn't want to see.

Avril.

"Well hello there, dear sister" Avril waved to Ariel lying down on the floor of the attic and closed the door behind her, as she came into the room and took a seat.

Ariel got up from the floor of the attic slowly and leaned against the wall of the room to catch a good sight of Avril sitting on a chair. She could feel the murderous aura surrounding Avril and the glint of anger flashing through her eyes.

"How are you feeling?" Ariel was stunned by Avril's question, that wasn't what Avril was supposed to ask her. She was supposed to ask her why she crashed her mating ceremony with Carter last night.

Ariel studied Avril closely and observed she was just playing mind games with her instead of getting to the main point, Avril was just beating around the bush and not wanting to say out the real reason why she came visiting her, which Ariel knew too well without her saying it.

"I'm quite alright, except for my broken left arm" Ariel pointed to her arm making Avril let out a polite laugh, Ariel's face was unreadable as she watched Avril laugh. She didn't say anything funny, so why was Avril laughing?. 

Avril's demeanor screamed calm due to the way she was acting but deep inside of her, she wanted to pounce hard on Ariel and teach her a goddamn lesson. But she was just holding herself back because Ariel was seriously hurt.

As much as she hated Ariel, she wasn't a monster.

"I see" Avril muttered indistinctly, and crossed her leg on top of the other and smiled. Ariel watched her closely and studied her movements, she was smiling and didn't seem to be mad at her.

Avril was scaring her because the Avril she knew before would have been screaming and smashed her head against the walls but she wasn't doing any of that. Seems like her older sister has finally matured.

Ariel swallowed hard on hearing Avril ask, "So why did you do it?Why did you crash my mating ceremony with Carter?" Avril finally dropped the bombshell Ariel wanted to hear from her.

Ariel knew that question would still come from Avril no matter the loverly sisterly chit chat they were having, Avril was seriously unpredictable to her. 

Sometimes she would act nicely to her just as she was when they made up before the incident yesterday and sometimes she suddenly becomes cold to her.

Ariel felt guilt inside of her at that strict moment, how was she going to explain to Avril that her wolf Dawn took control over her and crashed the mating ceremony without her approving it?. How was she going to explain that to Avril because it definitely sounded like a cock and bull story.

"And before you speak, I certainly only want to hear the truth" Avril emphasized on the type of truth she wanted to hear from Ariel when Ariel opened her mouth to speak to her. 

Ariel squeezed her knuckles firmly, and blew air out of her mouth slowly. She mustered up the courage to speak to Avril and said, "I really don't know how to say this to you Avril" She paused and continued.

"But it was Dawn, she took control and I really tried stopping her but she was too mad and before I knew it she..she.." 

"Crashed my mating ceremony with Carter" Avril completed the sentence for her, as she found t hard for Ariel to pronounce.

"Yeah, she did that" Ariel said in a low manner and bowed her face in shame.

"Then what about Carter, were you the one who kissed him or he kissed you when I went to use the bathroom?, I need to know the whole truth" Ariel raised her face to answer Avril's question. 

She could see the hurt and the pain in Avril's eyes when she asked that question.

Avril didn't come to exchange words with her or fight with her, she just came to find out the truth concerning all the unexpected events at her mating ceremony last night.

Ariel shook her head slowly, how was she going to say this to Avril. She was finding it hard to speak, Avril was really hurt and she could see it in her eyes without Avril showing it.

Avril wasn't a weakling like her who preferred crying each time she got hurt, Avril was strong and really knew how to hide her feelings from people.

"I was the one that kissed him" Those words were what Ariel wanted to say to Avril but stopped the words from coming  out of her lips and said it only in her mind, as she recalled Avril wanted only the truth from her.

From the visible hurt she could see warming up in Avril's eyes, she knew Avril loved Carter just as she once loved him but not anymore. Avril loved Carter more than he loved her and it was killing her inside slowly.

Carter didn't deserve to be loved because anyone who loved him ended up getting a heartbreak, it was as if he was cursed and his curse was for everyone who loved him to end up getting their heart broken.

Ariel thought so.

She cleared her throat and began slowly, "When you left for the bathroom, I wanted to go check out how the preparations for your mating ceremony were going but when I reached the door, he came in and stopped me".

Ariel stopped to watch the expression on Avril's face and was surprised Avril didn't seem bothered about what she was saying but instead Avril pressured her to go on.

"Go on, I'm not going to bite" Avril let out a soft chuckle when she saw the way Ariel was studying her face. Ariel smiled, watching Avril chuckled. She was hurting but was hiding it.

"We argued and when I wanted to leave, he then.." Ariel gulped and finalized her sentence, "he grabbed me and kissed me".

Avril bowed her head, interlocking her fingers in between the other as she drove her mind back to what happened last night. After she went to Alpha Mills to report about Ariel to him, he went in search of her and finally stopped Dawn from hurting Carter.

She was happy that Ariel was finally captured and was going to show her who owned Carter but the moment she ran into the flower garden to see for herself whether her dad really knocked Ariel off just like the others said.

Avril was shocked to the core when she found Ariel warped in Carter's arms like a mother cuddling her sleeping baby. She saw the way Carter cried for someone who wasn't his mate and cuddled her as if she owned him.

She fumed with rage inside of her but there was nothing she could do about it, she seduced Carter and stole him from Ariel and showered him with love but Carter still chose to run away from her.

Carter ran from her love.

No matter how many times she tried making him happy, Carter was never happy because each time she tried. He never smiled and only smiled whenever he saw Ariel.

What does Ariel have that she didn't have?, What was Ariel capable of doing that she wasn't capable of?. That question was answered as Ariel was the only one capable of making Carter smile and not her.

Avril saw things were never going to work out between her and Carter and that was the reason why she wasn't slamming Ariel's against the wall. She wasn't mad at Ariel, she was mad at Carter.

She remembered praying to the moon goddess to give Carter to her as a mate. Due to this, she fell head over heels for him and finally, Carter was gifted mate to her but she was regretting it now. 

So should Avril reject him?.
