She finally Won The Battle.

Ariel swiftly let go of the chains on her legs and leaned against the wall with her eyes closed, pretending to sleep. Alpha Mills stole a short glance at her as he came into the room and locked the door.

He looked around the room before taking a chair and sat down, then he said to Ariel, "You can stop pretending to sleep and open your eyes now".

Ariel's eyes popped wide open on hearing her father's statement, how did he know she wasn't asleep?. The old man had real sensitive senses.

"You can keep on trying to get those chains off your legs" Alpha Mills pointed to the chains on Ariel's legs, observing she had been trying to get them off,  "but let me make this clear to you. You are not escaping from this place".

Ariel stared at her grumpy old man in anger after he dropped those words, he was just here to get her pissed off and to also waste away useful time she would have used in getting those stupid chains off her legs.

"Why do you hate me so much, father?" Ariel made an inquiry from her father. Alpha Mills was quite stunned and also impressed at the same time by Ariel's question, she wasn't scared of him anymore because of the way she stared at him eyeball to eyeball.

Ariel has grown some real nerves, the Ariel Alpha Mills knew before was a scaredy-cat and would have shit herself when she looked him in the eyes straight without cutting the gaze off or blinking.

That wasn't the question Ariel wanted to ask her father, that was the least question she wanted to ask him as soon as he got into the attic, but caused by the statement he dropped earlier, she then said those words to him.

Those words have always leaned on her mind and never wanted to leave and since she has the opportunity to be with her father now one on one, with no one else around to disturb or interrupt them.

That moment was the perfect opportunity.

Alpha Mills let out a short creepy laughter while Ariel smiled, she knew he was stunned by her question and he was finding a way to avoid the question by laughing it off but it wasn't going to happen.

He must give her a response to that question or she would keep on pestering him about it, till he decides to leave the attic for her to continue with her plan of escape.

Ariel wasn't giving up on escaping, no matter what kind of fear her father came to instill inside of her.

"I don't hate you, my child" Alpha Mills scratched the beard under his nose softly while Ariel stared at him quite confused. What did he mean by he doesn't hate her? And she was also surprised by her father calling her his child.

That was literally the first time her father acknowledged her as his child.

"I just hate the fact that you exist"

Ariel gave the old man a deadpan look, what did he mean by that?It made no sense at all and there was no difference between him hating the fact that she exists because she was existing for real.

"Let me make it more clear to you, you look a little bit confused" He smirked, pointing to the confused Ariel and she prepared herself for what she was about to hear from him.

"Mother Selene made a grave mistake by creating you, you weren't supposed to exist Ariel. You're a mistake" Ariel swallowed hard and shut her eyes closed.

"Don't let him get to your head, Ariel" Ariel heard Dawn whisper to her and she opened her eyes and muttered to herself, "Not going to let him get to my head" She muttered, encouraging herself with Dawn's words. 

She wasn't going to let her father's words get to her head, he was just trying to mess with her. Dawn smiled, seeing Ariel muttered the words she told her to herself.

Alpha Mills was a jerk.

"I'm not a mistake father" Ariel spoke with boldness, she didn't blinked her eyes as she said to her father, "You can hate me and loathe me for my mother's death but I'm not a mistake".

Alpha Mills's jaws dropped shockingly open and he closed it up before saliva could escape. Did Ariel just talk to him that way without blinking or bowing her head as she usually does?.

The girl has begun to lose her fear of him and he must do something before she goes beyond his control.

"No, you are a mistake Ariel. Everything you do is f**ked up, since you were born and you have never brought any good upon this pack!" He barked rigorously, getting up from the chair he sat upon. 

"You say you are not a mistake?" Alpha Mills scoffed, "I guess you are a disaster then, because everywhere you go and everything you do ends up getting f**ked up" His hands formed akimbo on his waist and he paced round the room in anger.   

Alpha Mills said those words to instill fear in Ariel who still looked less scary because she watched him quietly as he paced round the room.

"Your sister came to me the night before her mating ceremony and told me everything about how you finally gave up on Carter and you guys made up and became friends, only for you to still go right behind her back and stab her by kissing her mate".

Ariel didn't utter a damn word and watched her old man pacing round the attic in anger, he was just trying to get on her nerves and draw her back to the days she felt rejected and alone with his words but she wasn't going to let him.

"I didn't stab Avril in the back father and I wasn't the one who kissed Carter. It was him and not me, you all should stop putting the f**king blame on me!" Tears started welling up in Ariel's eyes but she fought them back hard.

She wasn't going to cry, knowing her father would win in that hot argument they were having if she cried. Ariel was going to win this time.

"Then tell me, Why does Carter still chase after you?Why doesn't he look at Avril the same way he looks at you?" Alpha Mills came closer to Ariel, hovering down to meet her height and he held her by the chin and stared straight into those beautiful grey eyes she got from him.

Ariel wanted to spit at her old man's face so badly but didn't know what held her from doing so, she exhaled slowly and said to him. "Why don't you call Carter over to ask him those questions yourself?, he would answer it better than me" Ariel smirked wickedly.

Those words of Ariel shook Alpha Mills greatly due to how bold Ariel looked him in the eyes without cutting the gaze as she usually does before, she was getting braver by the day.

Ariel saw the terror in her father's eyes when she said those words to him and smiled. She finally won the battle.
