Sightseeing (Unedited)

Over the crowded streets, Valin sees lots of interesting things happens.

People in varied colors and clothing are walking around the streets, the loud sounds of stall merchant promoting their wares, price negotiations, stores in different sizes, style, and colors, so many interesting things that were different from his village.

In his village, almost all the people have white-colored fur and all of them lived in a wooden hut with some living in a stone brick house.

Sometimes Valin really wonders why most of the people in his village have white-colored hair or fur while in here all sorts of color can be seen and that makes Valin really confused.

Every time he asked this question to either Howard or Eve, they always say that it was not yet time for him to learn it or they change the topic right away.

Valin sometimes gets frustrated by this and go out to the forest to release all his pent up frustration by doing body exercise.

It's actually quite calming and relaxing for Valin to do exercises. He has regularly does it since he gets those memories after all.

The gradual feeling when he improves himself each time he exercises was so wonderful that he can never get enough of this feeling.

As they walked he noticed a restaurant with a great smell. His stomach started to rumble after all this time traveling on the carriage.

Howard who noticed that Valin was hungry bring him to the restaurant as he himself also hasn't yet eaten.

As they enter the restaurant, they see a lot of people ordering and eating food on their table. They then hurriedly take sit on an empty table and see the menu written on one of the walls.

Because Valin can't read, that means only his dad can order the food and thankfully Howard knows what kind of food that Valin likes.

Howard then calls the waitress and started to order some food. After a while, the waitress brought some kind of stew and cooked meat. It was so fragrant that Valin almost salivate.

"You'll be in for a surprise," said Howard suddenly.

Valin was confused but in his hunger, he started to mow down his food. After the first bite of the cooked meat, a wonderful taste burst out bringing him in a state of euphoria.

'What is this?' Valin thought as he feels like he was in heaven.

Although cooked meat and stew wasn't new to Valin, the taste and texture of the foods simply wonderful. In our world, the meat tasted like that of wagyu meat in our world.

He started to eat the food in even greater relish and speed. In a blink of an eye, the food was gone as it enters Valin tummy.

After finishing those foods, Howard paid the bill and then they continued to go around the town.

"What is those food was made of?" asked Valin suddenly. He was very curious about how can the food be more delicious than the ones back at home.

"It was monster meat. The cooked meat used the stampede bull and the stew used the mountain lightning ram meat. The herbs used to cook them is local products or other village produce. Both types of meat came from 1st tiered monster that was commonly found in the surrounding area." Howard explained.

Valin was in awe by this discovery. He started to have thoughts of becoming a chef as he was, in fact, a glutton. But he was confused what is the term 1st tiered monster meant.

After a while, the sun started to set and Howard hurriedly brings Valin towards the mayor office.

The mayor office was so huge that it was not wrong to call it a mansion although on a smaller scale. It has 3 floors, around 50 meters long and 25 meters wide. It was created by some sort of brick or concrete and was painted red. (Paint is quite expensive here)

At the side was a building with no walls, just floor, pillars, and a roof on top. This was the place where people come to participate in the stellar ceremony.

As they arrived, they see a small crowd of parents and childrens waiting under the building.

An imposing figure was standing in the middle wearing expensive-looking clothes as he held the shoulders of 2 children. He has brown fur all over his body.

Looking at the figure, Howard was shocked and frowned which doesn't escape of Valin notice.

"Who is he dad?" Valin asked

Before Howard could reply, the figure noticed them both and started to stride towards them.

"Oh ho long time no see Howard," said the figure while smirking

"What do you want Zach? Why are you here? I thought you can't interfere with the ceremony even if you're the mayor." asked Howard with clear hostility in his tone

The figure now identified as Zach, the town mayor replied.

"Haha relax a bit, Howard. I'm just bringing my boys to the ceremony tonight. Although it's news for me for you to have a kid with Eve." said Zach as he looks to Valin who was beside Howard.

Valin can feel the chill as he was stared by Zach as if a predator seeing its prey. Valin could only hide his body behind Howard.

Seeing Valin action Zach started to laugh.

"Your son is like you huh a weakling and a coward Howard," said Zach

Howard could only clench his fist and grit his teeth.

Seeing this Zach continued.

"Well, let me introduce you to my son. This is my eldest son Zane, " said Zach, proud was evident on his face

Zane was almost the exact replica of Zach. He has brown hair and a smirk that always shown on his face.

"And this one was my youngest son, Larz," said Zach with a frown.

Larz was almost the opposite of Zach. He has dark brown fur and a solemn face. It was evident that he was quite shy from his action hiding behind Zach.

"I'll make sure that Zane here will take 'good' care of your son during the ceremony." said Zach as he brings both of his sons back to the tend.

Howard could only glare at their back while worry is evident in Valin face.
