Chapter 23: Rewards

(3rd person pov)

After a total of four days of contemplation Xander finally has decided on the rough outline of his class and the item he wants.

The racial class that he wants will be called Nova, and the item that he wants will be given the name of the Twilight Ring.

The Nova class will boost his already insane racial classes and give him the ability to use a lot of magic even though he hasn't put a lot of effort into leveling the magical class he already has.

The twilight ring will passively help his stealth ability and also increase his speed, also if it is possible to reduce his racial disadvantage of the magic circle.

Xander's thought process consisted of if he was fast enough and had an insane amount of regeneration there would be nothing that he would have to worry about.

Since it was only a rough idea he didn't know what he wanted as the ins and outs of it quite yet, but from his rough idea he could start branching off what he wanted and what he didn't want.

While he was thinking about the racial class and the item he wanted Xander only spent a total of 6 hours playing Yggdrasil instead of his usual 12 hours since he wanted to catch up with his other hobbies.

He has also continued to challenge his arch-nemesis the alarm clock, but sadly he hasn't won again and is now coming up with strategies to beat it.

Since Xander beat the alarm clock for the first time he got a little cocky and thought that he would be able to beat it almost every time afterwards.

Other than Xander going back to his normal schedule, struggling against his alarm clock, and struggling to figure out the exact details of his rewards, his daily life has been normal.

(Xander pov – A few days later)

"Ugh, why does it have to be today that I have to finalize what I want to receive, I don't have that great of an imagination," I said complaining to myself

When I logged into the Yggdrasil a notification immediately popped out in front of my face saying

============================================================

[Player notification: Zero Alucard]

Please type in the information about the type of class and item you wish to have.

Your rewards will be delivered to you later this month or early this month.

If you haven't completed the thoughts of what, or it doesn't seem too good of a reward our dev team will buff it.

Finally, if you have not been able to finish your reward items our dev team will look at the rough draft and finish for you then send the complete items to you for verification and after you verify it's what you want they will then be created.

============================================================

Quickly typing in the rough draft and double-checking the information that I had typed in I sent the information back.

After sending my rough draft to the dev team I decided that before I got my rewards I wanted to go and kill the ice dragon that I found in the cave.

Before leaving the cave two years ago I made sure to remember the geographic layout around it so that I could go back to it.

Deciding that I was ready to do this, I started to plan for what I wanted to do. I thought that I should execute my plan at the end of this week, just so that I can go have fun and mess around a little bit.

"Since I will go fight the dragon at the end of this week I think I should take a small break and make some good food for myself this week." I thought to myself as I was pushing the logout button

(1 Week later)

"Oh, yeah I made the right call on taking a temporary break from VR for now, and making that strawberry cake was the right idea" I whispered while walking toward the cave.

Since I thought there was no need for me to be in a hurry I decided that I should go on a scenic path and see the kind of nature this forest could offer me.

Soon enough I could see the cave from a distance, and as I was approaching it I could see that there was still one of the ice golems guarding the entrance.

The only difference was that instead of roaming the perimeter this golem was just standing in front of the cave.

Continuing my walk I passed the golem without it noticing me and before walking into the cave completely I took a close look at the golem to wonder how they work.

Shaking my head and getting the thought off my head I continued past it and completely walked into the cave.

I started to run because I didn't wanna be in the cave for too long since the last time I was here it took me over 8 hours to run to the end and back to the entrance.

Running to the end of the cave at my maximum speed took me a total of 15 minutes, and even though it was only a 15-minute sprint I decided that I should take a small break.

Finding a nearby rock I sat down on it, gathered four small pebbles, and started to juggle them while I rested for a few seconds.

My rest only lasted 5 minutes, then I stood up and walked to the entrance of the bigger cave while I continued to juggle the rocks in my hand.

Entering the bigger cave I felt a rush of air coming towards me, but with the rush of the wind, I didn't feel the cold I once felt and had no fear built up inside of me.

Seeing the dragon still sleeping inside of it I looked behind it and saw that there were bright flowers behind it,

The flowers were a brilliant white with Blue flakes scattered around them, and these flowers had a bluish-white mist coming off of them.

Walking up towards the dragon I flicked one of the pebbles I was once juggling at its forehead.

Once it hit the ice dragon's head it just bounced off, but it was strong enough to wake the ice dragon up and when it did it let out a deafening roar.

When it roared there was a slight white mist coming out of the dragon's mouth, and after it had roared at me it started to prepare its breath.

(an, let me know anything that you believe should go with Xander's "Nova" class and the "Twilight Ring," Because I also don't have that great of an imagination.)
