[ Doyle's POV ]
The clear diamond-like ball sparkled brightly catching the light in different angles. Rotating it in my hands I could see a reappearing rainbow within it.
[ Caloric Stone ]
The caloric stone, one of the 'hidden' world items in YGGDRASIL. As mentioned in the novel the only reason Ainz Ooal Gown even found out about it was through pure luck. There are various ways of obtaining this item however the only one I know from my knowledge about the novel is through certain prismatic ores. I deduced that it's has something to do with the seven hidden mines. Good thing I have two of them completely under my control.
The Caloric Stone itself has several uses which is why in my opinion this is one of the more better world items. It is considered to be a material with various applications. For starters, it could be used to create a golem's core. In addition to that, the World Item is said to enhance the likes of weapons or armors too. Not to mention it is also one of the items that allow its holder to make requests to the game developers, similar to Ouroboros and Five Elements Overcoming.
As my mind continued to race with ideas that this item was useful for I twirled it in my hand, admiring its beauty. Hm... I looked back at the spot where I picked it up and found that this was the only one created even with all the celestial uranium I used for it. I had thought with all of the celestial uranium I had stored I would have at least had three or four, but that was wishful thinking. Regardless I'm not disappointed with this information, I still have ways to create more of them in the future so I should be content with this.
Now for the hard part... I walked over and sat down in a chair, it was in the corner of the room, where I felt safest. "So what should I use it for?" I whispered.
I was not one to randomly use a item such as this on a whim, this required much thinking. At the moment I don't need a golem's core since I don't plan on making a golem. Using it for item materials I could make a really good item, I mean I have leveled craftsman up to its max, but I don't think using it for materials is the smart thing to do right now. This item itself takes time just to be formed, I would have to wait for another unknown amount of time just to have another chance to use it again.
No. The most logical thing would be to use its ability to request from the devs, but even then I'm not fully sure what to ask for... I sat motionless in the chair, not making a single movement. *Sigh* For now I should keep it in my inventory until I'm sure about what to use it for, it's not like I have to go use it right now anyway.
I take another moment to let out another big sigh. Well that's a weight off my brain for now. I should continue dungeon clearing until the World Tournament.
With my brainstorming over I left the small hut and entered the mine once more. Just like when I first entered the mine all the celestial uranium seemed to have formed back along with the 'lesser' ores like adamantite. After cleaning out the mine I stored all of it inside of the hut like before.

~Scene change~
[ Luci★Fer's POV ]
Inside of a hut big enough for only one room, I sat in a chair backwardly. My arms hung over the backend of the chair as I stared at my one and only friend in the game, Doyle.
The room was quiet with no one talking since he was working on his two most prized possessions right now. With him being the pay-to-win player he was he had two of the rare dragon summons that first came out with the release of the Cash Shop Item, those were what he was working on currently. Dammit if only I had tried to get one of those dragon summons, then he wouldn't be able to flex on me so much...
With jealousy growing within me, my brain clicked. Hehe... I know exactly how much concentration one needed to have when focusing on making NPCs. If I were to jump scare him I bet that would get a reaction out of him!
Moving slowly I moved out of the chair cautiously, I really don't want him to find me out. Every single one of my fantastic pranks has failed when I attempted them on him, I can't mess this up. With very slow movement I crept closer and closer to him. Dammit, why did he choose to sit this way... Doyle was situated in the corner of the hut, so I were to sneak up it would be very hard to not be noticed. Did he do this on purpose?!
Tch! Like that's going to stop me! I continued with the same pace almost reaching him. He still hasn't looked up yet, the feeling of accomplishment already welling up inside of me due to my confidence in this prank. As soon as I got up in arm's reach I bent down even more getting ready to jump on him...
"What are you doing?" a familiar soft low voice came from the left of me caused me to jump.
"AHHH what the hell?!" I quickly looked to the left of me on my to see it was Doyle looking directly at me. Although his avatar didn't have any facial features for some reason I could tell he was grinning at me with arrogance. I could hear the tone a person would use to mock their younger sibling.
"You and your goddam illusions! Be honest, I almost got you!"
"Nope, instead I got you. Pft-hahaha how do let the person you tried to scare, scare you instead?" he said while laughing.
"Hmph! That was part of the plan, I knew you would do something like this from the start, I was just testing you. Of course next time Ill try for real." I with a confident tone said lying through my teeth.
He continued laughing before walking to sit where his illusion clone was just sitting. "Yeah, yeah whatever you say."
Tch! This damn guy... How do he always see my tricks coming? I went and sat back down in my chair again in the same position as before.
"Anyway, are you almost done with those two dragons of yours? It's been a long time since you started working on them, shouldn't they be finished by now?"
He continued his crafting, without looking up at me he responded, "I told you this before, I want them to be as strong as I can make them. I could be done with it right here and now but I want them to be as strong as they could possibly be."
"Jesus bro, what are you, a perfectionist?" I said sarcastically.
He just responded casually "Maybe I am.". Again I sensed that arrogance in his voice. Damn him.
Getting of topic I brought up what we both been waiting for for these last 8 days. "Anyway, there's only two days left until the World Tournament event is started. You ready, because I know I am!"
He paused and he started to count in a low voice however I still heard it, then he replied. "So only two days before the event huh?"
Why does he do that? It's like he doesn't know when the event starts. He always has this sort reaction when I speak about things that not posted in-game or related to it, like he doesn't know whats going on in the real world...
He's always been this way since I first met him. Before I was cautious of him. He seemed 'unknown', but not unknown like you don't know who's the person behind the face of the avatar. It was the unknown where you just couldn't predict what a person would do, it's what made him seem dangerous to me even though he was heteromorphic.
However, I realized after a while he was a pretty cool person. We started to farm monsters and party together occasionally, he even helped me with my build as an angel race player. Overtime after getting to know him more I realized he was a... Game addict! A giant, enormous, rich game freak!
I mean I've met some game freaks in my life but this guy... He's beyond even them, he can't even take the time to go and check the date for an event. Instead, he makes me do it for him, what am I, a personal assistant?!
"Dude you need to get a life, you play so much that you don't even know what goes on in the real world. You need to get out there and find you a girl or something because your losing yourself" I said in a proud, caring, yet mocking tone.
He looked at me for a minute then opened his hand. Within his hand appeared a weird ugly looking baby, before I could even react he threw it at me. Reflexively I caught it in my hands and looked at him.
"The hell is this? Why did you suddenly give me this thing?" I said confused.
"Oh that..." he paused giggling evilly like a villain from a movie then he continued. "That tiny monster is called a Carrion Baby, you can buy from the cash shop. You see they actually bite-"
Before he could finish his sentence the baby jumped out of my hands and bit me on my avatar's face.

[ Warning! You have been poisoned! ]
"What the hell?!"
While I was screaming I quickly snatched the little shit off my face, turned around, and threw it across the room. Behind me, I could hear Doyle's laughter.
"I forgot to mention it poisons you if you get bit, you might wanna take an antidote quick. Haha!"
Hearing this I quickly turned around getting ready to attack him with a little trick of my own, however when I turned towards him...
"Quick, think fast!" he said as be tossed two more at me. Both of the babies jumped and bit me right on my neck.
