Is he a sociopath?

Ana moves around the dress and stood in front of him. A smile still on her face.

"Do you know boss that you look so sexy when you talk about your work?" She blurts.

Ethans eye widens at her boldness and she quickly brings her hand to cover her mouth in realisation of what she had just told him. She is a horrible person. Here he is, distraught that he isnt able to get any work done and she is busy finding the distraughted man sexy.

Ethan relaxes his brows and stares at her shocked eyes with amusement. "We dont have a policy against dating your co worker at 'The Resurrected'." He moves to a table in the model of the room and retrieves a paper and an embroidered fabric. Ana had calmed herself and is now wearing a very awkward smile by now. He stretches it to her and she took it.

"I have the tendency to be quite unfiltered. I am sorry."

"It is okay." He look pretty chill that she was starting to thimk he is too easy going. If he is this easy to work with, why doesn't he have an assistant all this while? Could it be the calm before the storm? Afterall he is a demon and he can be pretty unpredictable. She checks the drawing of love on the paper and then checks the embroidery. The love shape isn't perfect. One part seems to be bigger than the other and the ending where they joined, there was still a little space in it. So tiny that one wouldn't notice if one ddint look well. The embroidery was the same as the drawing. It was simply perfectly imperfect.

"Boss, is this your embroidery?"

He nods his head with a tiny smile.

God he is so adorable when he looks that innocent.

"It is perfect."

He scoffs. "Marcey says it is crooked."

"But you intentionally made it this this way. No love is perfect. I mean I haven't experienced the shit myself but according to books, no love is perfect. Infact perfect only means there is something wrong. The little imperfcts is what makes eveything perfect." She explains.

Of everything she said, Ethan could only hold onto one. She had called the concept of love shit.

"You don't like love?" He asked unsure if he should he really be prying like that. He begins to walk to a corner of the room and pulls out a carton. Laying it on the table, he brings out the same fabric he had given her but with embroidery on it.

"I can't say I don't like love. I just.. I find the concept stupid." He froze. Hand slightly shaking but he pretends to be focused on the fabrics. "The fact that your heart aches for someone and you just want to be with them all the time doesnt really sound appealing. But a much as I dont find the concept good, I do want to experience it." His frozen shoulders calm down a little. "See if it is as stupidly sweet as the books describe it to be."

"You are a hopeless romantic." He says matter of factly.

Ana chuckles and checks the embroidery on the fabric again."Maybe."

He pushes some fabrics to her and says with a flat tone. "This is the embroidery the designers sent me." She hands him the fabric she is holding and he carefully takes it, the tip of her fingers brushing his. But only he seem to notice as Ana was too engrossed in the new embroidery now. He then begins to explain. "I need to cover the entire tail with the embroidery and I cant do it alone but their embroidery is just.."

"Amateur-ish? Over the top-I-am-a-sucessful-designer-ish?" She suggests and he smiles. "This are all perfect love shapes."

"Depsite handing the drawing out and my personal embroidery, no one seem to get it right." He pauses for a while and watched her expresison. "Will you try it?"

Ana raises her head to look at him. Pointing to herself she asks in disbelief. "Me?" He nods his head. "I am just am assistant designer."

"You are a designer. I have seen your work and it is good. Try it." He pulls out a new fabric with no embroidery and hands it to her. "You can hand it in anytime you are done. There is a room next to the fabric room, you can pick needles and thread there."

Ana carefully takes the fabric and stares at it for some time. What if she doesn't do it well? She does know she is good with embroidery but what if she doest get it? What if she messes it up?

As if he knew what she was thinking, Ethan assures her. "Baby steps. Just try it." Compared to the him she had interacted with this morning at the dining and last evening, he seem more friendly and open minded. He wasnt blatantly trying to shy away from her and is no longer frowning so much. He is now starting to look her in the eyes and it is scaring Ana because everytime he looks her in the eye, he says something extremely touching. At least that is how it sounds to her and she cant help nut feel something flutter in her stomach.

"Ethan!" A feminine voice calls from outside. "Ethan where are you? God this place is too huge."

Ethan shakesnhis head and walks to the door. Throwing the door open, he notices a smiling Marcey.

"Good morning." She drops her coffee by the drawer beside the door. No food or drinks allowed in the designing rooms. As she walks in, she notices Ana and smiles at her. "Good morning Ana."

"Good morning Miss Marcey."

"Where are the fabrics?" Ethan questions making her smile fall.

"Patience boss. They will have it delivered." She picks the tab that was under her arm and starts to scroll through it. "We have problems." She says and Ethans shoulders sink as he settles in a chair and pulls another out.

Marcey mutters a 'thank you' and is about to place her butt in it but he pushes her away and gestures for Ana to take a seat. Right beside him.

Marcey rolls her eyes as she gets herself another chair.

"So much love for your cousin." He didnt react and so she continued. "Problem number one, Princess Gina has picked the Bloom wedding dress and needs it to be adjusted. You dont like other people adjusting your dresses so you go to the shop in two hours." Ethan stares at her with an unbelievable look but Marcey rolls her eyes. "Dont be dramatic. It is just people. Secondly, you may want to calm your nerves first but I wont be your plus one for the La Desire socializing party. I am going with my babe and it is a must that you attend." Ethan shifts in his seat and opens his mouth to say something but Marcey wuickly intervenes. "You cant push it off."

Ana watched as he froze beside her. His hands balling into fists. He looked like he was contemplating running into a wall to die and going to a socializing ball. She furrows her brows at his reaction. Does he really hate parties like that? Or is he just an introvert?

Or a sociopath?
