Glorybound City.
Night time.
Fan Lin was returning to the orphanage. On his way, he was thinking of the things that he was going to do in the future.
"But really~ hunting humans and knowing that I am not hurting an innocent is a blissful feeling; and I want to feel this again." Fan Lin mumbled with a grin so wide that it was nearly forming a small boomerang.
He casually entered the orphanage like he owned it and got smacked on his head. Pretty hard at that.
"You kid think that just having an innate soul power gives you the permission to go out at night?" The matron asked while looking menacingly at Fan Lin.
"... I was in the brook near the southern side of the Glorybound City, practicing my meditation." Fan Lin took a second to understand the situation and then formed a perfect reply to argue. Wrong decision.
*Smack*
"You dare to blabber your mouth against me!" The matron smashed Fan Lin on his head once again.
"..." Fan Lin chose to remain silent this time. He knew this type of person. The unreasonable kind. The only way to stop them was to either stop them for eternity or to stay silent and let them stop by themselves.
'I should collect some intel on her and if she turned out to be a sadist... then I shall personally silence her for everyone. I am a good person.'
Fan Lin thought while looking at the surroundings.
"Ok, come inside. Did you eat something? If you have then go to sleep, if you are hungry, go to the mess, some food must have been left." The matron said and went inside the orphanage.
Fan Lin looked at her back and went to his room. He opened the door and was going to sleep when he noticed that there was no one except him in his room. All the bunk beds were empty.
"Hmm. Does this orphanage not have enough orphans?" Fan Lin mumbled and sat on the ground and started to meditate.
He had already wasted his day in the preparation of poison, equipment and other necessities for his hunt. Now he was going to use his night for meditation.
Or how else was he going to become strong? He doesn't have any big god daddy behind his back. He also didn't have a fixed goal as well.
"Actually I do."
The night passed with Fan Lin meditating and the western side of the Glorybound City being unable to sleep due to the ravishing aroma that came from a small house.
The aromatic flavours of the spices and the smell of slowly broiling meat caused many to have insatiable hunger at night.
Now they were going to regret feeling that.

Fan Lin got up from his sitting position and went to bath in the morning.
A few minutes later, he came out of the open air bath, got dressed and went towards the Red Mountain Academy.
On his way, he brought a Glorybound daily newspaper to read the news as there was an hour left for classes to start.
'My first purchase of my haul.'
He went to the Academy earlier than others because he needed to increase his knowledge pool about the social, political and geographical situation in the Douluo continent.
He knew that he was going to be living in the Douluo continent for a long time. Continental travel between the Douluo continent and other continent was filled with dangers and the journey was long. Really long.
He started to seriously skim through the paper. The moment he reached the school, he returned the borrowed CD player and pestle and mortar to their respective places.
He had used the CD player to lure the middle aged man inside the house by playing some mixed recording of the food tasting shows and then later stored them in the storage device of the middle aged man.
Now he had enough money to last a few months.

A group of policemen was sealing a small house on the West side of Glorybound City.
It was an abandoned house that was abandoned a few weeks ago, an extremely enticing aroma started to emerge from here the previous night.
The smell was really amazing, so much that many people were having hunger pangs due to it.
After some hours of constant waiting, one man decided that he was going to ask the new owner to give him some of the food as well.
When that man came near the house, he found that the house door was open. He shouted at the new owner to come out but no one came, at last, he went inside the house and the scene that he saw made him faint in pure terror.
After he woke up sometime later, he immediately ran out of the house screaming at the people that a person was being boiled in a pot.
Soon the news came to the patrolling guards and they sent a small team to check out the situation in the dawn.
Once the small squad checked the house, they were puking out whatever they have eaten and called for the police force to take this case seriously as it may be a doing of Evil Soul Master.
The moment the police got the information, they informed the mecha corps and came to seal the whole area that was surrounding the small house.

I am xxxxxxxx from the investigation department. Today we were asked to investigate the area xxxxx in Glorybound City. The investigation results shocked everyone present.
The crime scenario was extremely uncommon yet pretty detailed. The cause of death of all the people except xxxxxxx is cardiac arrest. xxxxxxx was boiled alive and the results from the autopsy dictates that the hands of the victim were separated before boiling. No proof found by the investigation tools.
Finally, we got some clues with the help of a soul skills from personal xxxXxx. With the usage of his soul skill xxxxx xxxx we were able to find out about the hidden footprints and other details.
What we got is something that changed the flow of the investigation. The soul skill showed the footprints of a young child, aged between 6 to 10 years. Gender- unspecified. No fingerprints found and there were signs of concocting some kind of concoction( thought to be some kind of poison or sleeping agent).
A thorough search on the backgrounds of the victims were done and doing so, we found out that they were human traffickers.
The crime scenario should have happened like this: The child may have lured them to the abandoned house by some means and then finished them.
Conditions of the victims: The first six that were killed had their bodies chopped into equal slices and placed on the cupboard shelves. The final body, considered to be the body of the leader of the small gang, was boiled to the point that the bones were turning gelatinous. The full autopsy revealed that the victims were still alive during the time there were dying.
Conclusion : A newly awakened evil soul master aged between 6 to 9 possessing ruthless nature is currently roaming free in the Glorybound City.
Danger : Extreme (for now) Each awakened evil soul master has cultivation speed that surpasses the rest of its peers. I plead for the authorities to pay attention to this matter.
