A/N: You can choose whether you want to read this glossary or not but I recommend that you do so in order to get an earlier grasp of things.

1.1- Intro

The story takes place on a faraway planet located in an unknown galaxy known as Vel. Vel has three moons and is roughly thrice the size of Earth.

Technologically, Vel's advancement is somewhat similar to Earth's however, due to reliance on magic, technology will not appear that much on the forefront.

Now, for the first few volumes, I will be focusing on the events happening in the main continent, known as Miatia, specifically on characters based in three states, chiefly, the Edin Empire, Euthoria, and the Northlands. 

Like in most fantasy books, the planet Vel is a magic world, yeah!

Now, I tried as hard as I could diversifying the base elements but not too much such that the stuff is too hard to understand.

1.2- Awakening

So, in Vel, not everyone is capable of using magic. Only a select overall forty percent undergo a process known as 'awakening' at ages fifteen to sixteen.

This awakening enhances one's base attributes like strength, stamina, and agility and in addition, the senses are refined... heightened.

Awakened people are classified as UNRANKED.

It is only after an unranked animates/manifests a LAW/ability that they step on the true path of magic.

1.3- Laws

Laws manifest early after awakening, that is, usually within a year period, however, note that not every unranked will manifest a law. In fact, roughly only fifty percent will manage to do so.

Laws are classified into two main groups: 

ELEMENTAL LAWS and MYTHIC LAWS.

Elemental laws are pretty self-explanatory.

They include the orthodox Earth, Fire, Air, Water, and Nature elements and their variants; Light, Darkness, Thunder, Ice, and Sand etc.

Mythic laws, on the other hand, are the more uncommon laws e.g Space, Time, Void, and Matter etc.

NOTE: Unranked can only awaken one law in their lifetime to become MAGIC PRACTITIONERS.

1.4- Practitioner ranks

Magic practitioners are ranked according to their proficiency in utilizing their law of magic.

Practitioners who have just manifested a law are ranked MORTAL CLASS.

Those who have mastered Law Manifestation are then ranked as MASTER CLASS.

Practitioners who have mastered the Law Manipulation stage are ranked SAGE CLASS and last but certainly not least, those who have mastered the Law Transformation stage are ranked SUPREME CLASS. 

It is important to note that the number of practitioners at each stage vastly decreases as we go up the ranks, such that Supreme class magic practitioners are practically one in a hundred million.

So, I think these are all the basics.

Of course, I left out some parts to avoid spoilers but I will continue to update and edit this chapter as the book progresses.
