Chapter 33 Ease The Pain

“Excuse me, where could I find Derek Shepherd’s ward?” I asked a nurse and she gave me a blank stare.

“Who are you?” After a moment, she inquired.

“I am his employee, I need to hand him an important file.” I lied flawlessly, and she eyed me up and down.

My outfit, my bag, and the file in my hand lessen her suspicion of me.

She stretched her hand towards me, “I’ll hand him over.”

DAMN !!

“No, it has to be delivered by me,” I told her with the sweetest smile I managed to give her.

After a moment of hesitation, she finally blurted out.

“On First Floor, room 3A.”

I nodded my head in gratitude as I walked to the stairs and started to climb.

After I witnessed Derek in such a state and that also because of me, I couldn’t sit in the office unbothered.

I took my day off from Miss Wilson to find Derek and thank him in person.

After all, he got injured while saving me.

(although no one asked for his help)

My feminine inner voice objected and I tried to suppress it.
