Chapter 23 Lock The Deal

Considering all the bullies and gossip back in the office, I decided to refuse him straightly.

“No, I am not interested in this offer…”

I rejected him firmly and his eyes returned to my face with a slight look of shock.

GOTCHA !!

He wasn’t expecting my refusal…

Well, I am unexpected, Mr. Derek Shepherd.

With my head held high, I intended to look away from him with my newly grown arrogance when his next words crushed it brutally.

“I’ll pay you, Amy, Double…”

“Double as what??” I asked, bewildered.

“Double as your salary…” He emphasized and my mouth dropped in complete shock.

Double the salary, instantly my mind started the calculation of how much it would be and then how I could use it, where and when…

But then again, didn’t it feel like I’m being a hooker?

That thought instantly whirled my emotions.
