“Any news?” I asked Dave, hoping for any negative remark to come from his side but instead, it all came positive.

“Except for injecting some antihistamine.

She did nothing doubtful.

She is clean, Shepherd.”

“Hmm, I am going to visit the Shepherd Villa today.

I need to see my mother doing well with my own eyes.”

I informed.

“Great, Shepherd,

Just don’t let your emotions go out of control.” He spoke knowingly, letting a sneer cover my mouth in disdain.

“You’re being delusional.

She was my past,

My present and future hold Amy, only.” I clarified his judgmental thoughts.

“Faces don’t lie, and I saw yours yesterday.” He pointed out and I tried to not groan in annoyance.

“Fine, I’ll try to be as emotionless as I can…” I assured him and he seemed reluctant to trust my words, but with no choice left, he had to.
