Swimming in such cold weather wasn’t an ideal idea at all, but somehow at Derek’s assurance, I started to follow him.

Somewhere in my heart, I knew he was up to something but what?

I had no clue and then finally I noticed a floating tray in the water, bemused, I swam towards it.

There were multiple colors of petals covering something shiny. Curious. I pushed away the petals and held up the silver box which shone like a diamond under the rays of the sun.

Why would someone leave a box like this in the sea?

I looked at it with curious eyes, until I realized what that could be.

My mouth dropped in shock, and my heart rate quickened.

Is this a proposal for me?

I tilted my head in Derek’s direction and found him staring at me significantly.

I opened the box with multiple rays of hope.
