“Could I??” I lowered my voice and stepped further away from the room where Amy was sleeping peacefully.

“Why not? I can come over and we could start legal action.” Dave advised but I remained quiet, thinking.

Is this really done by my family?

But if they intended to hurt Amy, they would do it quickly, why did the man linger in Amy’s room?

I wanted to go over to check the room properly but knowing that Amy was frightened and needed me the most tonight, I dismissed that thought.
