“You can’t come in, Sir…” One of the nurses from the staff took me out as I tried to barge into the OT with Amy.

In just a few seconds, Amy was taken away from me and I was left cold and empty.

I stare at my hands which had turned numb from the coldness seeping the dread in my heart. What if Amy’s heart has turned cold too??

The warmth fell at the palm of my hands and my view got blurred.

“Shepherd…”

A voice nearby made me realize that I am crying for Amy’s loss.

Clenching my fist tightly, I acknowledged Dave, “I want both of them behind bars…”

“They’re already taken into custody,” Dave informed which didn’t extinguish the fire of hatred in my heart for both mother and daughter.

“But Shepherd…” Dave began to remind me of my status when I shut him off.

“I won’t leave her sight,”

He nodded in understanding.

“I’ll keep you updated,” With a curt nod, he was dismissed.
