Meeting Fubuki

As the wind coming from the laboratory's direction blew at our back, a pleasant smell reached my nose.

"Something must have happened at the laboratory," Sho said, increasing his running speed despite already having difficulty keeping up.

When turning my head toward the direction it came from, Tatsumaki asked, "What's wrong?"

I must not let such a precious thing will go to waste. There is nothing wrong with drinking their blood since they are already dead...

I am not doing anything bad...

"Please." Just as I took the first step, Tatsumaki tightened her grasp around me, her eyes staring into mine as she muttered in a soft voice, "Stay with me, Xion."

Hearing her pleading voice, I assessed what on earth I was planning to do.

Drinking their blood? Where did such a crazy idea come from?

This had also happened once in the past.

It seems like the sight, smell, and taste of blood would trigger such a reaction in me.

If just this was enough to make me lose control so what would happen if I drink it?

Relieving her worry, I said, "Of course. We have promised each other. Remember?"

"Just keep your words if you don't want to become my food."

Far away in front of us, Sho shouted, "What are you guys doing? Come on!"

Approaching a city after traveling for hours, the sight of those high buildings made my exhaustion disappear, the three of us stood still, observing the city as if we had never seen one before.

"Alright." Regaining his sense, Sho said, "I will bring you to your parents so that you can spend the night. After this, I will go inform the authorities about the illegal laboratory."

Not minding the look from passers-by, Tatsumaki took my arm. "Xion doesn't need to go to his parents, he will come with me."

Seeing my nod, he shrugged his shoulders, "Well, you guys do whatever you want. Who am I to interfere with your couple's life?"

Arriving at her house, Tatsumaki frowned when seeing a middle-aged man with dark circles under his eyes opening the door but quickly hid her emotion. "Hi... do you perhaps know where the Shiraki family moved out to?"

The man rubbed the back of his head, seemingly annoyed to be disturbed at this hour, and said as if to get rid of us as quickly as possible. "I don't know why you guys are looking for them but I will tell you anyway since it's not a secret. Three years ago, the Shiraki has somehow earned a lot of money, bringing jealousy to neighbors, and purchased a luxurious house located in the same district, just near the Fairheim Canal."

When walking toward her parents' house, nobody said anything.

Although the previous guy doesn't know how her family got so much money, we do.

Breaking the silence, Sho laughed, "Don't be so mad like that or your boyfriend won't find you beautiful anymore. Just know that your parents won't be able to enjoy their wonderful life anymore. Instead, they would suffer in prison."

Somehow, her words worked on Tatsumaki as a malicious smile replaced the angry expression on her face.

The man didn't exaggerate at all when saying it was a luxurious house. Its large size contrasted with the surrounding house. There was even a swimming pool on their healthy lawn.

Standing in front of the gate, after Tatsumaki pressed a button just under a small camera, a feminine voice echoed, "Tatsumaki?! Why are you here?!"

In a dark voice, Tatsumaki said, "What? Can't your daughter come back home?"

"No...no...it's just that you were supposed to...Well, mommy is coming."

Not even a minute later, a woman with many expensive accessories wearing clean clothes came to open the gate.

Because Tatsumaki was holding my arm, her eyes laid on me for a few seconds before diverting toward Sho. "Well...Since it's quite cold here, let's talk inside."

Once protected from the cold, Tatsumaki took me away, leaving her adoptive mother with Sho, and directly went to see Fubuki.

A dark green-haired girl rose from her bed in alert as Tatsumaki opened the door rather violently but after seeing who it was, a happy smile was on her face.

"Big sis!"

Releasing me, Tatsumaki spread her arm for the little girl running at us. "I am back..."

"I missed you! Don't leave me alone anymore!"

Meanwhile, Tatsumaki rewarded me with a priceless smile that will remain engraved in my memory forever while she patted the back of her sister's head.

Peeking at me under her big sister's arm, Fubuki asked, "Who might he be?"

Without saying anything, Tatsumaki kissed my cheek just in front of the little girl, giggling at my blush, she said, "Do you understand who he is now?"
