Orange town

"We are finally here!" Luffy jumps off the boat onto land

"Luffy wait! Dont get yourself lost" Zoro shouts over to Luffy as he proceeds to also unboard the ship

The ship docks itself on the side of the shore

"I'll stay on the the ship to take care of jade" Kuina says while looking over at jades resting unconscious body

"I can trust you guys do your job right? grab food, find supplies and potentially find a map or a log post. Got it?" Kuina says with a stern tone

"okayy Kuinaaaa" Luffy says while not even listening

"Ill be sure to keep this meathead out of trouble, dont worry" Zoro waves his hand back at them while not looking back

*Sigh* "this crew is going to fall apart if we dont get our act together, right jade?" Kuina realizes that jade is still fast asleep

"oh right, sleep well then" she grabs a blanket and wraps it over Jade.

"hopefully those two will be ok"

--- Luffy POV ---

Orange Town was built on a patch of wilderness near the sea by townsfolk that had just lost their previous home to a pirate attack. Orange Town itself is a colonial like town with cobblestone street.

"This place doesn't look so good.." Luffy looks around to only find ruins of buildings and rubble scattered everywhere

"This place has obviously been attacked and destroyed by something or someone" zoro continues to look around cautious that the thing that wrecked the town was still nearby "be careful luffy"

The town seems to have either been raided or abandoned from what it looks like from the perspective of these two. The atmosphere in the area was filled with nothing but emptiness as the loudest noise was the distant howling of the winds

BANG* a bullet flies by the two missing both of them entirely hitting a pile of ruin behind them

"You two pirates better stay away from this town. You already took everything!" a small elderly man wearing glasses shouts angrily at the two

The old man looked relatively small and had a quite frail build as his arm holding the gun shook with fear

"who are you old man?" Luffy says walking closer to him ignoring the gun pointed at him

"stay away! or i will shoot" the elderly man threatens the two with his gun

"I'm not a bad guy, trust me!!" Luffy tries to convince him

"You asked for this you filthy pirate-" As the elderly man was about to pull the trigger a sword places itself under his neck

"Put the gun down" Zoro commands in a menacing tone while pushing the sword into his neck slightly

"p-pl-please spare me" The old man drops his gun as his body broke down in fear

"thank you Zoro, who attacked this place old man??" Luffy asks

"It was you filthy pirates! well that is what i assumed when i saw your ship approaching the island" the old man responds clenching his fists

"watch your tone" the fine blade presses itself deeper causing him to bleed a little causing him to immediately shut up

"Stop it Zoro. We are not the bad guys here"

"You mean your not part of Buggy's crew?" The old man begins to rethink

"who is buggy??"

"He is an infamous clown pirate with a bounty of 150 million" Zoro answers luffy while sheathing his sword. "I should know since i have seen his bounty wanted posters multiple times"

"yes, he is a crooked man who is currently enslaving half of the people on this island" The old man says while gritting his teeth

"ill beat him up" Luffy says in a serious tone "where is he?" 

"he is probably having a party right now celebrating as he does that basically every night. He should be in that direction" The man points towards the upper hill area of the island

"Thanks. Who are you old man" 

"I'm boodle, The mayor of this town" Boodle stands up

"If we get this island back. will you guys give us some resources?" Zoro asks almost demanding some form of compensation

"please stop that tyrant. ill pay to my full extent" Boodle says almost as if pleading

"Zoro go tell the others ill be back shortly, take care of old man over there" As Luffy says this he runs over to the direction Boodle said where buggy was

"Luffy wait-" before Zoro could convince Luffy to not rush ahead Luffy was already far gone "that idiot" Luffy was nowhere near in sight

Zoro ran in the direction Luffy went attempting to find his stubborn captain

--- Jade POV ---

I open my eyes and wake up to the sounds of the waves hitting the side of the shore. "my body aches, ughhh" I get up from the hard uncomfortable wooden floor 'who put a blanket on me?'

"yo, so your finally awake" alongside the coast Kuina can be seen doing one handed pull ups on a branch of a tree. Her body dripping with sweat as it looks like she has been training for quite a bit "I warned you not to overwork yourself" she says in an annoyed manner

"I'm sorry, i just wanted to be strong like you guys sooner" Jade responds as he starts doing some stretches to wake himself up 'I need to train even harder to catch up to these monsters'

"I really dont care, you dont need to be strong i can protect you and the crew perfectly fine. If anything is going to harm you its going to be me, do i make myself clear mister?" she says in a stern voice almost like telling of a child

"yes ma,am.." I respond in a defeated tone

"PAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA" laughter could be heard from a distance "LOOK WHO WE HAVE HERE BOYS" a man that looked like he was dressed in multiple layers of fur appeared at the scene. Next to him was this other man with long greasy black hair that drooped down the side of his face was riding a unicycle and holding a sword. 

Behind them was a large group of normal looking pirates which there was exactly 7 of them each either holding a cutlass or a flintlock

"Buggy will be happy when we take back that fine looking lady back to base, right boys!" The man in the fur says as all the pirates cheer in unison "we will be having fun with you lady" The unicycle dude licks his lips

"I hate men like you guys the most" Kuina says in annoyance and brandishes her sword and aims it at the group

I look at the group of pirates and just sigh 'what was i even expecting. A break?' i must be crazy to think that

I jump of the boat and brandish my sword in a more improved manner 'Lets see how much i have improved since 3 weeks ago' I smile menacingly
