A life lesson

There are different types of people in the world. Not all of them are brave. Not all of them are righteous. Even if not all of them are bad they are not good either. It is an important life lesson.

In the canon, Fisher Tiger died because of the people of Foolshout island. His fight with the marine and later the blood loss due to his wounds might be the physical reason for his death but the real reason was the cowards from Foolshout island. They gave in the information about fisher tigers arrival in exchange for Koala's freedom which has actually no guarantee. It wasn't an unfortunate incident. It's just the cowardice nature of the people. Fisher Tiger died because a few people couldn't gather enough courage to fight for a little girl who has been forcefully sold into slavery. There was no guarantee that the marines will honour their word. And yet, the people didn't think about the kindness of Fisher Tiger for a moment before giving up the information.

This was not the only occasion when this type of situation happened. The strawhats faced as similar type of situation in Dressrosa. Not only fear, but also the greed of the people showed their true colours. When Doflamingo declared rewards and gave people the hope of surviving, people didn't think about their saviour for a moment and turned against them.

In these situations no one can actually blame the people. It is in their nature. Fear, greed and hope, these things can turn people against the one who saved them. It was an important Life lesson. And I have forgotten it. So obviously I paid the price.

"You maggots ! Help me capture this bitch and I will free you all !"

Half of the people immediately became hopeful and turned towards me.

I was shocked but not much. I didn't want to kill them. But there was no guarantee that my father will be able to escape if I truly got captured. I am no saint. And I prepared myself to kill them all in case, they really compromise his escape. I took out the dagger from my shoulder and got ready to attack at any moment.

"What the hell are you guys doing ? Are you turning on the person who just saved you. He is just one man ! We can take him on and escape together !" Leon shouted at the colleagues.

"Zyahyahyahyahya ! You can try but I assure you I won't go down without killing at least half of you. On the other hand if you just help me capture that girl then I will let all of you go !"

The man declared loudly.

At that point half of the people have already surrounded me.

"How should we know that you are not just tricking us ?" A comparatively brave soul asked the question.

"Good question. But easy answer. That girl has eaten a devil fruit. She will get me more than double the money than all of you combined ! There is no reason for me to held you captive-" the fat lips couldn't even finish his speech as the attacked him.

Letting him speak was a great mistake. And if I let him complete his speech, then I will be screwed for sure. The best way to escape in this situation is to kill this guy. I was prepared to kill all the civilians. But that was the worst case scenario. If I can actually kill this guy then I won't have to kill any civilian.

It was my only way out.

It was a good thing that none of the civilians were infront of me. So I was able to use shave and appeared in front of the fat lips in an instant.

His eyes widened as he tried to dodge my attack. But he couldn't dodge it completely as another slice appeared on his torso. In terms of speed I was superior. But his observation haki was good as me. So he was not at a complete disadvantage here.

He immidiately used his powers to block the entrance and took out multiple swords and even canons from his body.

The very next moment he fired all of them. Every single one of them being coated with armament haki.

With many people behind my back I decided to deflect them all instead of dodging them. It was a mistake on my part. I should have let them die.

"What are you doing ?" I paused for a moment when I heard the voice of my father.

Turning around, I saw that Leon has been taken as the captive by his own co-workers.

My anger shot through the roof.

"Stop ! Or I will kill him." The man who took Leon as captive shouted at me.

For a moment I forgot about the main threat and rushed towards the man. The moment I appeared in front of him, I beheaded him in an instant. And I secured Leon.

But that moment was enough for my opponent.

I could feel my observation haki warning me. But it was too late for me to dodge.

I felt a stinging sensation in my abdomen. Looking downwards it was a large dart.

Immediately I got system alert.

//Alert !

'Master ! You have roughly 14 seconds to save your father. And if you even cardinal acceleration then it will be reduced to 4 seconds. After that you will become unconscious. This situation is unavoidable.'

I didn't hesitate to activate cardinal acceleration, a variation of seimi kaikan immidiately. Slashing apart a part of the ship, I took my father and jumped out.

'Alfred ! Tell me the direction now ! I want to throw him in such a way that he should land safely in the ocean near an Island.'

'Fifty one degree to your left, Forty five degrees vertically, from your height as base. Control your strength to 80 percent during cardinal acceleration.'

I was really grateful for the help. In the next moment, I turned to my left and immediately did as Alfred told me.

Everything happened in just a couple of seconds, I had two more seconds remaining. But I didn't have to go inside to kill the man as I saw his demonic form appearing outside.

It was my last attack so I put everything on it.

If it is going to be unavoidable then I will make sure that I will kill him before I go down.

Spinning rapidly I descended on his demonic form with my sword. Coating both of them with armament haki, I slashed down. But my drowsiness took over at the very last moment. I didn't let my haki falter, but my momentum faltered for a while. That gave him enough room to dodge the attack. But he couldn't dodge it completely.

"Rhaaaaa ! My arm !!!" The painful scream of my enemy was the last thing that I heard before passing out.
