"Are you sure about that?" Daisy asked with a frown.

One of the men replied casually, "Yes," while the other nodded in confirmation.

"But since you are already here, why don't you spend some time with us, Daisy?"

Daisy simply shook her head at his words, declining calmly, "I don't have time for that now, Zack. I have lots of work back at the bar, so maybe some other time."

Dan sighed in relief as he saw her leaving the ship without any incident, but the following words for Zack shocked him to the core.

"Are you sure? Ken and I were discussing who we should sell this boy to. I think we should sell him to Princess Arya. She would even be willing to pay a million beri for him."

Daisy looked back with a frown, "didn't I just say I didn't have time for this? Also, Ken remembered to bring me my cut from the previous deal later at home." After saying that, Daisy left the ship.

Seeing her walk away like that, a defeated look appears on Zack's face, which Ken immediately notices.

"Chill, dude, she might not be blowing you off this time, and she really has some work to do back at the bar," Ken said, hoping to cheer his best friend up.

'W-what!!!' Dan thought with a shell-shocked expression on his face after hearing this, and the only reason he didn't shout when she left the ship was that he was too shocked to even scream.

She is always kind to everyone and behaves like she would never hurt anyone. However, now he finds out that she was also part of the group that kidnapped him. He couldn't believe that she was also part of them.

Just as he was trying to cope with this sudden betrayal from someone he thought was a friend and savior, the words of that old lady he met a few weeks ago came back to him.

("Remember, kid, almost everyone wears a mask in their life to hide something. Sometimes it is a pain, while other times it's their emotions, and some hide their true nature, so you better be careful of who you trust.")

Remembering her words, a peal of hollow laughter escaped his mouth. 'So, a mask, hun? Talking about something I didn't expect.'

'Still, who am I kidding? Of course, there is no way anyone would help someone that much without wanting something in return.'

"Who is there?" Zack turned in his direction after hearing creepy laughter while Ken pulled out his gun, ready to shoot.

But after not hearing any response, Zack also picked up his gun. He doesn't know why but feels like someone is watching him with malice.

This was true as Dan was debating whether to kill them while silently moving toward them.

'Why are you hesitating, Dan? He is just a lowly slave trader who just wants to sell you as a slave. So you are entirely justified in killing them.'

After much mental struggle, Dan eventually makes his choice as his tail swipes at Ken standing near him, intending to cleave his head off.

'Why am I even hesitating when I have already decided to become a bounty hunter?' Dan thought as his tail blade moved to Ken's neck at impressive speed.

Suddenly Ken tried to dodge that invisible tail blade heading towards his neck as he subconsciously jumped back to avoid that attack.

But he was not fast enough to dodge that completely, as a thin red line appeared on his throat before blood started to gush out of it. At the same time, he fell backward on the deck in shock as his life slipped away from him.

"Wha..." That was all Ken could mutter before he started to drown in his own blood.

'One down and one more to go,' Dan thought before looking at Zack, trying not to react to the brutal murder he committed.

Meanwhile, Zack was standing still with a shell-shocked expression on his face as his best friend abruptly started to bleed out in front of him before he ran toward him with his hanky and pressed it on his neck tightly while trying to stop the bleeding.

Still, it was useless, as the blood did not stop. Before Zack could do anything else, the hand he used to press his hanky on Ken's neck suddenly detached from his body.

"AHHHHHH!" Zack wailed loudly as blood gushed out of his shoulder, but it didn't last long as his head was also cleaved off his body, ending his suffering.

As Zack's head fell on the deck, Dan sighed in relief before silently sitting on the deck next to the dead bodies.

After some time, Dan eventually pulls himself together as he accepts his new reality. This is killing or getting killed, and he really doesn't have any plans to die anytime soon.

Then he begins to remove the evidence of the murders by throwing away the dead bodies in the sea and using stainless on the deck to remove the blood.

As for why he is doing it? Well, it was really simple. He needed a ship to get out of this island, and this ship was perfect for it.

Dan then began to go through the supplies and other valuable items on the ship, and in that search, he found 350,000 Beri cash in the captain's room.

After doing all this, Dan left the ship, still in his invisible form, and returned to the place he had been working for the past few weeks.

He quickly reached Daisy's office through her open window and found her working on some documents on her deck.

Seeing her calmly working like nothing happened instantly sets him in rage, as Dan barely holds himself back from killing her right there.

Then he silently moved toward her before commanding his tail to attack her, intending to end her life painlessly. Still, at the very last moment, the blade stopped just an inch away from her neck.

It stayed here for a second before retreating back, as Dan silently sighed before quickly leaving the office.

And just after he left, Daisy sighed in relief before looking at the open window in her office.

In the end, Dan decided to spare her life as she had saved his life before, even if she didn't do it out of kindness.

'Whatever, it's not like I will see her again after I leave this island,' Dan thought while moving toward the ship, as he didn't want to spend any more time on his island.

After some walking, he quickly reached the ship and began setting sail toward the next closest island with a marine base.

As the ship began to sail away, Dan, who was at the helm, suddenly lost consciousness.

After an unknown amount of time, Dan finally woke up from his slumber right where he fell unconscious.

And just as he wakes up, the system screen appears in front of his face with a message from someone named Operator.

"What the hell?" Dan muttered while slowly rubbing his forehead after reading the content.
