Do you want to talk?

Lucas sat in his car and drive to his office. He already forgot to give Rachel the gift he bought for her yesterday, so he decided to give it now. Their house was on the way anyway. But she might have already gone to school. If so, he can give it her mother.

He pulled over near their apartment and walked up to their house. He was going to press the bell when he noticed the door is already open. Although the idea of walking in crossed his mind he decided to give a shout first. "Bella" he called gently.

But no reply came from other side. He opened the door a little to peek. However the living room was secluded. Is she sleeping? He didn't mean to invade the privacy of them but his steps took him inside the house on their own.

If Bella is sleeping without locking the door, she is inviting trouble? Anything can happen to her or Rachel. His steps lead him to the living room where he heard someone sobbing. Who is crying? His heart feared at the thought of something happening to Bella or Rachel.

What if his enemy find he visited them so they took the liberty to harm them? He took long strides to quickly reach the room. The sound grew more intense when he reached the door.

He didn't waste a moment to open the door only to see it empty. The sound came from the bathroom and he rushed there. He didn't think anything before barging into a women's bathroom as he was too concerned about the sounds.

After opening the door he meet with a messed up Bella, who was still crying when she looked up to him. What happened here? He carefully walked to her with a genuine concern on his face.

Bella was confused how is he here? Should she use this opportunity and tell him the truth? But she felt her throat closing up.

"Bella what happened? Are you hurt somewhere?" he asked. But instead of replying she cried more and bowed her head down. Her forehead is sweaty. He checked her and found she is not having any injuries. His eyes soften seeing her teary face and he hugged her before he knew.

She felt the coldness of the ground fading away when he hugged her and trapped her between his arms. If he is doing this to comfort her, he is doing a good job. She put her face on his chest, making his shirt wet. But that didn't bother her as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

He recalled the moment when he hugged her at the hospital. He don't know why, but whenever he sees her crying he wants to protect her. He kept patting her back to calm her down. She keeps clutching his shirt from back as if she don't want to lose this solace, this warmth.

Bella sniffled when she heard his heart beating. She closed her eyes to only focus on his heartbeats. Somehow doing this calm her down. After a while her breath got steady. She felt him detaching his chest from her face.

His one hand kept hugging her while the other went behind her neck and made her look up to him. He wiped her tears using her thumb and said "Do you want to talk about this? Or should I leave you alone to give some space".

She looked up to him. His words didn't sound pitiful or anything but they were rather gentle. She can see he cares for her and she knew she has to tell him all this.
