It was the second day since he left. She hadn't heard from him or seen him since he left. She had called his line severally and texted him a thousand times, but his phone was switched off. For two days now, she had not had a proper sleep nor eaten well because she was worried sick about him. The day he left, she saw on the news channel about a plane crash and nobody survived. She became restless after she saw that. Her worriness became worst when she didn't hear anything from him. She had even lost a few weight from worrying and sleepless night. Deep within, she knew she won't be able to forgive herself if anything bad happened to him.

It was almost noon time and she hadn't stepped out of her room all through the day. She had asked the maids and Mr Bo if they've heard anything from him or had any idea of his whereabouts, but they all gave her an answer she didn't like. They all had no single idea. Every passing minutes, every passing day felt like a dead end to her. Was he really gone? And for the nth time she cried that day.

"Please come back. Please...." She wailed out again.

So many times she had tried shaking off that thought that nothing had happened to him. But with all the things that had happened, she can't help but think that way. Sometimes she wished all of it that's happening right now was just a dream, probably one of nightmares. But no. Everyday she wakes up and face reality that way. The previous day, she woke up from her short sleep and ran downstairs to see if he had arrived, but the answer still remained a negative. Now, she knew within her that she was a bad luck. Her presence in people's life was nothing but bad luck to them.

After an hour of crying and wishing he should come back, she succumbed to the sleep calling her. A lot of energy have depleted from her body. She had no appetite of eating lately because of the news she heard on TV. For the whole day, she hadn't eaten or drank water and fell asleep on the ground. Because she was so stressed, her sleep hadn't been peaceful.

The following morning, Jane's eyes fluttered open. She realized her body was at it worst right now. Her head banged in sharp slight pain due to all the thinking. She tried forcing herself from the bed but fell down back. Her eyes open wide as she felt the softness. She realized she was on the bed.

"What am I doing here?" She asked herself looking confused.

She was pretty sure she dozed off on the floor. Her brows were creased tight trying to remember if she got up in the middle of the night. After a while, she came to the conclusion that she didn't. She gathered all she could and stood on her feet. Her stomach growled and she felt dizzy a little. After her body stabilized a bit, she took slow steady steps. She knew she could only walk in that pace because she might fall down from all the dizziness. She opened the door and slowly stepped out.

"Mr Bo." She called out but her voice could only be heard from few steps away because it was raspy and broken.

She got hold of the stair handrails and took steady steps downstairs.

"Make sure everything is okay." A voice said.

"Yes." Said the other person bowing and taking her leave.

Jane halted her steps on the last stair case. She couldn't believe her eyes, or wait, was it an illusion because of her being dehydrated. She prayed in her mind that she wasn't seeing things. All of a sudden a tear rolled down her eyes. She covered her mouth and shook her head in disbelief crying again. She so wanted to believe it's true but at the same time, she can't believe what her eyes were seeing.

"What happened? Did you see a ghost?" Said a voice staring at her with a questionable look.

Like energy was suddenly sucked into her, she ran about to dive him for a tight hug, when she remembered what had happened few days ago, so she paused a step closer to him. Her eyes rained down more tears and she so wanted to hug him tight, never letting him leave her just like that again.

He stood there looking at the crying girl with confusion etched on his face.

"What is it? Why are you crying?" He said with a normal non-care voice.

She fell on her knees breaking down than ever. She wanted to hug him real bad but she can't, so she had to fall down on her knees to stop herself from doing so.

His brows knitted tight and a frustrating sigh escaped his lips. He murmured "women..." out in frustration shaking his head.
