The Dream

"And what are you thinking about?" Asked Francis who just came out of the changing room. She hugged him and her nervous body felt relaxed. "Are you okay?" He asked again.

"Jane...." Her father called causing her to pull away from the hug.

"Yes dad."

"Your grandma is a bit sick. We need to take her back home early."

Worriness slammed on her face. "Will she be alright dad?"

"Don't worry dear. I guess is just few things that happens to people her age. But she'll be fine. Maxwell is taking care of her already." He kissed both her cheeks to sooth her worry mind. "Don't worry yourself too much okay?"

"Okay dad."

"You guys can handle things right here?"

She nodded. "Yes dad. You can go ahead."

"Bye dear."

"Take care of yourself and grandma too."

He nodded at her, then to Francis and left.

"Feeling better?" Francis asked.

"Yes."

"I think you should rest now."

"They're still somethings I have to wrap up. You can go ahead."

"I'll wait."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes wife."

She smiled and went ahead to assist the rest of them. Her mind never stopped thinking about Lisa and why she acted the way she did earlier. She had not seen such looks on Lisa's face. No matter how she was angry at the world, she always showed Jane her warm look. To make matters worst, she hadn't set eyes on Lisa after that. She had asked someone, only to get a breaking news that she had left. Now she was extremely worried. What had happened to her? She was in her happy mood before she left to the hospital, so what had actually changed her mood.

"You can go ahead Jane." Spoke a lady holding her shoulders that drew her mind back to the present.

"Uhmmm but....."

"You look extremely tired. You need to rest. Besides, they're only few things that is left to be done."

"Are you sure you guys can handle it? "

"Yes. Go rest. I also think your boyfriend have been waiting for you."

She turned only to see him carrying a sleeping child on his shoulders.

"Okay. Thank you." Answering her with a smile.

The lady also returned same smile and walked away to carry the sleeping child from him.

"Shall we?" He asked as he approached her.

She nodded and they walked out. Kevin was seen outside. Because the drive took about an hour or so to get to his house, Jane had already dozed off. She was extremely tired and mentally stressed thinking of Lisa's sudden behavior.

The car had reached its mansion. He had no other choice than to carry her in not to wake her up. He gently placed her on the bed and left the room to let her rest peacefully.

After some minutes in her sleep, she saw that mysterious thing again, with brown eyes. She flinched backwards seeing the deadly look in its eyes. It was no longer brown but red, burning in utter anger.

"After all the warning signs Jane, look at the disaster you've brought to this world." It said with its deep voice.

Tears was already dripping down her eyes. "Wh... what are you talking about? Please just let me go." She cried out.

The mysterious thing halted its steps and spoke after a while of silence. "The only reason I'm angry at her is because she never told you the truth. If you had known, I don't think you'd be involved in this cursed love."

She cried out more. All these things, the suspense and weird dreams were making her go crazy like hell. She wailed out more. There was no strength left in her to stand. It felt as though her legs were chopped off.

"Just go. Just leave me alone. Please..." She pleaded in teary voice and her eyes were shut close as she continued crying.

When she opened her eyes, she stopped crying. Shock and surprise slammed on her face in what befell before her eyes. She was suddenly in a high mountain. The mountain was high enough to see the whole city. She stood on her feet, looking at the city that is now turned into something else.

"This what will happen soon Jane." Its deep voice resonated in her eyes.

She turned around but saw no one or nothing. Not even its eyes, but his voice was heard loud and clear. Her heartbeat fastened.

"What do you mean by it'll happen soon. And why is it caused by me?" She asked looking around probably looking for the mysterious thing.

"You fell in love with the wrong person after warning you severally that the next step you're about taking is dangerous."

She stopped turning around and paused. Her brows arched in confusion. "Do you mean Francis?" She asked the empty space in front of her.

"Look at the city." Its deep voice ordered.

She turned to look at the city that was getting destroyed by humans. What she didn't understand was why the humans were destroying the cities. Her eyes and her ears caught someone that was yelling out her name angrily.

"Who... who's that?"

Silence reigned on her and the cool mountain wind blew pass her.

Her eyes were fixated on the person yelling her name angrily and she suddenly felt someone standing behind her. She turned around and her eyes flew open in shock seeing the full body of the mysterious thing.
