Passed Out

He squatted down to her. "Stop being so dramatic eh." He spoke. She didn't say anything but kept crying. He gently placed his hands on her shoulders and sighed because he can't believe that he was doing this. "Stop crying now." His voice was gentle as if coaxing her with his voice.

She looked at him with her blurry eyes filled with tears. Heaven knows what amount of force she was using to weigh down herself not to hug him.

He gently wiped out her tears. "Don't cry anymore. It's fine."

She stared into his gentle warm eyes. It was the first time she saw his eyes like that apart from his cold, sexy or unfathomable look. A faint smile curved up her face and the next thing her eyes shut close. His brows creased as he held onto her tightly.

"Jane? Jane....." He called shaking her.

Her body had weakened to its lowest from all the crying, not eating and not getting enough sleep.

He sighed noticing that she had passed out. He noticed earlier how weak and slimmer she had become. He sighed in frustration looking at her. In the next second, he gathered her in his arms. She was so light. He raised a brow and chuckled as he saw how light she was. It was like he wasn't carrying anything in his arms at all. His biceps were mascular. He hand a strong masculine hand and a hard chest, but she wasn't awake to feel his masculinity.

He walked up the stairs and in to her room. He gently placed the sleeping girl on the bed and tucked her in the duvet. She had become bony. His hand moved to touch her face but halted in mid-air. He clenched his hand lightly from preventing himself from caressing her face. He dropped back his hand to his side and sat down on the bed.

He sighed. "I wonder why you're doing this?" His voice a bit bitter. "You have a better life ahead of you, but you chose to suffer with a heartless person like me." His lips wried up. "If only you know what you're getting yourself into. I'm sure you would run for your dear life and never look back." His cold hands gently landed on her warm hand. "You've become skinny and frail because of me." He chuckled inwardly like that was too funny. "You're so innocent Jane. It's better for you to live the life you've been living. I'll do nothing but hurt you more in each passing day." He paused and gently removed the strands of hair covering her eyes. "You shouldn't suffer with me because I'll do nothing but add you to my suffering and make you suffer more." His hand travelled to her hand and firmly squeezed it. "Jay.... "he called out that name like he just nicknamed her. "You don't deserve all this. I think you should rest now." He said and raised the duvet up to her neck. "Sleep tight Jay." He whispered and got up.

He took a few steps and halted. His face threw towards Jane and his eyes searched round the room like something was off. When he saw nothing, he continued his steps out of the door. He turned around and saw her gentle and peaceful nature permeated from her and slowly closed the door not to wake her up.

***

It was early in the evening when Jane's eyes fluttered open. Her sleep was distracted from her loud growling stomach. Her head banged in pain as she forced her way up to sit down. She tried calling out for Mr Bo or a maid, but her voice had become really broken. Her throat hurt from being dry for so long and her temperature had become a bit high. She tried forcing herself to get up but her body felt like her whole strength had been sucked out from her. She managed to use all she can and stood up on her feet. She felt dizzy and her vision had become blurry, so she tried using her senses to walk. She was half way to the door when her knees gave in and fell. Her body landed on a strong arm to prevent her from falling to the ground. Earlier, a second after her knees gave in, she had heard a loud barge from the door.

"Are you okay?" He asked still scooping her in his arms.

It wasn't a dream. Earlier, she had woke and a flash of memory passed her mind. She thought it was a dream or an illusion but it wasn't. She wanted to cry but her eyes had become weak and sore from doing so. And she knew she had no strength left in her.

"I'm fine." She said sounding emotional with her broken voice.

"You're burning up." He said as he felt her hot body on his.

She felt really weak to talk anymore and her body gave in to her weakness. He sighed when she passed out again. He scooped her in his arms and laid her down on the bed. Her body's temperature seemed to be increasing by the minute and he heard the sound of her angry stomach which made her shake a little as if she felt a sting pain.

He shook his head at the sight of her
