"It's time to go now." Her grandma said in a sweet voice and a loving smile.

Jane nodded. She went to her bed and picked up her phone. She opened it and screamed.

"What?"

Her grandma looked startled and paused what she was doing. "What is it?" She said in a creased brows.

"It's late. This is already few minutes to seven. And Lisa had called fifteen times."

She remembered she silenced her phone after Lisa had called earlier that day. She didn't want any disturbance when she was reading her novel.

Sighing in relief, her grandma spoke. "It's okay dear. I'll go get a cab for you." She said in a calm voice.

After Jane nodded at her, she went out of the room to go get a cab for her outside.

Jane sat there for a while looking distressed.

"The car's waiting for you downstairs." Her grandma said at the door jolting her focus back to reality.

She let out a quick relief sigh and stood up.

"Thank you." She smiled at her grandma.

They headed downstairs.

"Wish me luck please." Jane said at the door leading to the outside.

"All the best my darling." She said touching her chin lightly and smiling.

This is the first time Jane has ever done something like this. She was completely nervous. When she got into the cab, she waved one more time at her grandma standing at the door side. The car finally accelerated away and headed to the party's location.

It took about an hour to get to the destination. The car finally pulled in front of a very expensive hotel. What she saw made her jaws drop and eyes wide opened.

"We're here ma'am." The driver spoke.

"Thank you." She said to the driver and got down from the car.

She subconsciously swallowed and now wished she had just refused.

Lisa had sent her the address when she didn't pick the call. She had prayed within her that it wasn't the one and that she had read it wrong. 'Now I regret coming here', she said within her.

At the entrance of the hotel, she saw expensive cars parked outside.

She breathed in and out and brought out her phone from her black purse to call Lisa.

Ringing....

"Hello Lisa." She said in a shaky voice.

"Gosh Jane, I've been calling you for ages now. What happened to you?" Lisa sounded worried over the phone.

"I'm sorry. My makeup and hair took quite sometime and my phone was on silent. My apologies Lisa."

Lisa sighed in relief. "It's okay. I just thought something bad had happened. I wasn't at peace with my self over here. So, where are you now?"

"Uhm, I'm currently at the venue. I'm still outside. I don't have my invitation card with me." Her voice now returning to normal.

At the entrance of the party, she couldn't enter without an invitation card. And Lisa didn't give it to her before she left for the party.

"Oh...okay. Just give me some minutes. I'll be right there."

"Okay. I'll be waiting." And she hung up.

She was completely nervous and only prayed within her for Lisa to join her very soon. She saw some people gaping at her before entering the hall. They couldn't help but glare. Her shape, her height, her beautiful black gown, her hair and the makeup was something else. She also couldn't stop glaring at herself when she was still inside her room. So she didn't blame them. She thought her spirit must have left her and occupied a body very beautiful. She stared at herself for a while before realizing it was really her. This was the first time in her entire life dressing up like this. 'All thanks to granny', she said within her.

After sometime, she saw Lisa stepping out.

"Lisa....." She called out.

Lisa walked towards her and hugged her.

"Wow, Jane" she said staring at Jane after pulling from the hug. "You look stunning."

Jane let out a faint nervous smile. "Please not now. Can we just go inside now. I can't bear anyone staring at me anymore."

Lisa smirked. "To be honest with you Jane, you look beautiful and that's why they're staring at you."

She blushed a little and finally calmed down a bit. "Thank you. You also look beautiful too.

Lisa was putting on a long handless dark blue gown revealing her beautiful shoulders and her collarbone. Her lipstick was light red compared to Jane's and her blonde were packed into a beautiful bun with some strands of hair bouncing in the front.

"Now you're gonna make me blush." She said smiling widely. "So shall we?" Lisa asked.

"Hmm, yes."

They walked majestically inside the hall hand in hand and Jane's eyes open wide in surprise. Yes she was expecting something big as usual, but this is really beyond what words can say. She felt like she was in another world.
