Neil was caught off guard by the man’s remark and felt himself blush. “Well, yeah…sort of.”
Dr. Turner went on. “We’re also going to need someone to look after the house and take care of Sasha and Molly, our dogs. Do you think you and Rolf would consider house-sitting and looking after the dogs for us? It’d be more comfortable for you than living in the bungalow. Those aren’t really meant for year- round living, and they’re pretty cramped. Karen and I lived in one for a few years until we had kids. It was no picnic I can assure you. We nearly froze to death in the winter.”
“Gosh, yeah. I’m sure Rolf would be open to that. Rolf…uh…we have a cat. Would that be all right?”
“Of course. Sasha and Molly are older, and they’ve lived with cats before. It shouldn’t be a problem.”
