He smiles, a little sadly and nods his head giving me the confirmation.

"You don't have to worry Adele." He whispers as I enter inside his room.

"I will take care of it all. You won't have to worry about anything; the war or your pack or anything. Just leave it to me" he declares and I look at him exasperated.

"Leave it on you? If I leave it on you, I will be pregnant and barefoot in your kitchen" I accuse and he narrows his eyes at me.

He opens his mouth to argue but then suddenly closes and his forehead creases as he looks genuinely confused.

"What's wrong with it?" he questions innocently and I swear I want to smack some sense into him.

Of course the Alpha's tendency is to find their mate and produce healthy pups as their heir. It's their nature and they can't help it.

I wish I could laugh at his confused expression.
