Chapter 6

‘I am left confused again, commander? What in the hell is going on here? I look at Eldon to find him equally confused and out of words. That's a first.’

"But you are our Alpha even if you don't want. Yes, I will prepare the fight."

"That's all Beta Ron; I leave the pack under you for the time being. I expect you maintain peace and report to me if something unusual happens." Adele commands and Ron nods.

"I will try my best Alpha." he says as he bows and steps back.

"You can go now with the permission from Alpha Eldon." Adele says as she steps back and turns toward Eldon.

He steps ahead and looks at Adele and then back at Ron and Nick.

"You may go." he commands. This time they both bow and show their respect to Eldon too as they leave.

The moment they get out of the sight Adele visible relaxes. Her stiff shoulder relaxes as she smiles and looks at me.

"Whoa...oh ho ho…women, you have a lot of explaining to do" I say as I walk towards her.

‘I knew I will have to explain all this now’ I sigh as Mischa comes to me.

‘My mate too walks towards me and gives me a look, saying explain.

"Well, jeez I will explain, don’t behave as if I'm a criminal" I chuckle as I take a step back and turn towards the crowd.

"When I shifted for the first time my Alpha asked me to leave the pack. I had no idea why? No one knows why except Alpha Ren himself. When I was banished I came across Ron, Nick and few other wolfs. At our first encounter they were in serious danger. I fought with the bears and saved their lives." I say and turn back to gauge their reactions. All of them are shocked and surprised, especially at the point where I said I killed bears alone. Yes, I have been strong ever since my birth.

"Ron was severely injured and I am a natural healer, so I healed him. Since then, they followed me everywhere. Initially there were only seven people including me, it was easy to take care of them but slowly more rogues wanted to come under me, as I ensured their safety. We weren’t a pack; but as more and more rogues came under my command we formed a rogue pack. And they started treating me as their Alpha, though I still don't claim to be their Alpha just their commanding officer"

"We found a deserted land big enough for us and far away hidden behind the thick forests. We claimed that land as ours, as no other habitant was present there. That's how this Rogue pack formed. We still allow rogues to join us and our pack is still increasing. I train them now for a better and strong pack. They all are all trained warriors now. Some other rogues who were once of high rank and been banished at some point helped in the training. That is how this pack has been found." I finish and look at my mate.

Basically to know what he thinks of me now. Am I still an undeserving Rogue to him. I don't know why, but his opinion highly matters to me.

An expression of awe, proud and strong reaction of 'unbelievable' I guess this was exact reaction I was waiting for on Eldon’s face when I finished reciting my story.

On the very first day I told him that he don't even know me well but he labeled me as undeserving and what not; and he didn't even try to know me. Of course he regrets it now, it’s clearly written on his face.

Satisfied with his reaction, I step away and turn towards Mischa smiling softly at her.

"Why didn't you tell me?" she asks me as she loops her hand with my elbow.

"Never got the chance" I smirk and continue, "Plus, I loved the attention I received" I wink as she chuckles.

"You wicked girl never mind I still love you; damn you stole my heart exactly on first day of our meet! Wow!" she comments and winks back.

"Whoa, are you playing for the other side?" I question playfully as I release my hand from her hold. Because let me tell you upfront I am straight" I state as I try to keep a straight face but fail miserably. She slaps me on my elbow playfully as we both laugh.

From side I look at Eldon, who is still trying to figure out what has happened here. And I know he still has lot of questions in his mind but right now I have an important work.

"Mischa I need to talk to Eldon. So see you later?" She smiles wickedly and nods as I shove her away blushing. Bad girl.

I turn towards Eldon and he becomes stiff as he notices me coming towards him.

"You already heard about my people questioning my position. I can't stay here. I need to go" I start but he cuts me off.

"No, you are not going. I won't allow."

"But…"

"No." he replies sternly.

"Just for the fight I need to be there for the fight. You being an Alpha know, how important it is for us" I ask as I know I have hit him on the right spot.

Every Alpha hates being questioned and disrespected, especially my mate, so my people questioning my position is definitely an act of them disrespecting me.

He opens his mouth and closes few times and stops himself shaking his head from side to side as if contemplating my points.

"All right you can go, but not alone. I'll be there with few other pack members with me" he says and walks past me not even waiting for my response.
