Chapter 66

I sat back on my chair looking at Kael feeling sorry for behaving rudely with Eldon in morning when he came running to me as he got to know that I am in pain.

But he did hurt me from the beginning and I can't forget it so easily.

"Mates are rare Cara. You don't get second chance you know that right? You need to form your relationship stronger before it slips off. Do you get me?" he explains softly as he takes my hand in his and rubs it gently.

"Go talk to him. Give him a chance to explain himself; I'm sure you aren't the only one who is hurt" he says smiling and his eyes holds a warmth and that's when I notice the similarity between our eyes.

I nod and squeeze his hand.

"I will. I just need some time to cool off. I know I am behaving like a bitch right now but that must be the heat taking a toll on me"

He nods as if he understands and gives a squeeze to my hand and stands up; he looks around my office before speaking.
