Looking at Xander, Adele nods as Xander nods his head back in gratitude and brings his mate closer to him. His mate is hanging between life and dead. But this never bothered him. He accepted his mate even though she will never turn out the way she was earlier. Adele now understands how valuable a mate is and even though Xander’s mate, Hailey is only shell of a person she was but she is still in mortal world in arms of Xander and that is all Xander desires before he dies. Adele thinks back to the time when Xander happily gave up his position as an Alpha because he wanted to be with his mate.
