Also, this world can be considered an AU. I tried to add it to the tag but I couldn't find it so I have just mentioned it in the synopsis.

From that day onward Shizu increased her training even more. Now with her increased training and the death of the only person close to her, the other children in the castle started to get even more scared of her.

They called her a demon but not to her face but Shizu being as smart as she is, she knew about that.

As the year passed all the children of that castle left and the only people living in that castle were Leon and his two knights.

Due to her own talent and having the fire spirit Shizu can now fight with the black Knight without being on the loosing side.

Due to this, she was appointed as the guard of the castle by Leon, so she mostly stays near the castle gate ready for any intruders.

It has been ten years since Shizu had came to this world and currently is 22 years old. In this time period, many monsters and humans alike had tried to attack the castle but were mercilessly killed by Shizu.

She had long lost most of her morals and her day had become monotonous. She currently acts more like a robot than a human following a strict regime.

With no friends to talk to and no one to care for her, she just lives for the sake of living. The black knight has long stopped training her and she was never close to the silver knight and Leon.

She is but a puppet following the command of her master and she knows it too and has accepted it. For that is the only thing that gives any reason for her to live.

Today was a similar day as always for Shizu. Waking up, bathing, eating food, and guarding the door.

Shizu just continued to look at the stone stairs leading toward the castle with her emotionless eyes.

Tic Tic Tic

As she was standing near the gate she started to hear footsteps nearing. She took out her sword from its sheath and got ready in an attacking position.

As the steps got louder the figure of a woman clad in white and silver armor with a white cape attached to was seen. She was wearing a white mask with intrinsic red marks like flowers etched into it. 

Shizu immediately knew who the woman was "The Hero Chronoa" famous for sealing the storm dragon Veldora and protecting the people from the demons for centuries.

Shizu knew she was no match for her even so she didn't back out and covered her sword with flames. She didn't do this due to any devotion to Leon, she only did this as it may be her chance to get the freedom of death.

As the figure neared Shizu attacked her with everything she had, seeing the attack coming the figure wasn't even agitated.

With a speed faster than Shizu's eyes could follow she took out her weapon and deflected the attack with a single stroke of her sword.

In the next moment before Shizu could even realize her sword was sent flying and she was down on the ground.

In just two strokes she had lost without even being able to give a counterattack.

She knew that she had lost so she just closed her eyes and waited for her impending death. But that didn't come as Chronoa didn't stop to finish her up and entered the castle.

Shizu just stayed there on the ground without moving and looked at the castle gate. After some time Chronoa exited the castle, Shizu didn't hear any hint of battle so she knew that Leon had already left.

As Chronoa exited the castle she turned around and looked at the castle and gave a single weak sword strike.

And before a millisecond had even passed the castle was split in half completely with the mountain it was standing on.

Chronoa sheathed her sword and looked at Shizu who was still laying on the ground. She walked a couple of steps passed her and stopped.

She turned around and looked at Shizu, then spoke her first words since she arrived here.

"Follow me."

Shizu with nowhere to go and no future, upon hearing her command just stood up and followed her silently.

Now she had lost her only reason to live so she didn't care anymore but even so, she was afraid of a meaningless death. After all, even if she died she at least wanted the world or someone to know she lived and acknowledge it.

On the way down the now sliced mountain both of them didn't speak and there was a tense silence in the surroundings.

As they traveled down the last stair and reached the ground Chronoa stopped and looked at Shizu.

"Do you have anything to live for?"

"No" Hearing such a question she simply replied.

"Are you scared of death?" Chronoa again asked.

"...Yes" Shizu replied as her emotionless facade broke a little. She didn't lie as she didn't have any reason to.

"Why?" 

A simple question but one with millions of answers depending on the situation and context. Shizu also had her on reply.

"....I want my existence to be acknowledged." She replied as a series of emotions were shown on her face.

"I see," Chronoa replied and took off her mask.

As she did so the face of a charming young woman in her early twenties with long beautiful black hair.

Though Shizu hasn't seen many people she can safely say that Chronoa is one of the most beautiful women she will ever meet.

"Then take this and follow me," Chronoa said and placed her mask on Shizu's face completely covering it.

Shizu didn't completely understand what was happening but there was a feeling that was telling her that this would change her life forever either for the worse or the better.

Shizu caressed the mask on her face and gave Chronoa a simple nod. Though it was a simple reply it held a lot of meaning for Shizu.

She for the first time in forever felt that the burdens of the chain holding her were weakening and a new sense of freedom filled her being.

(A/N: Sigh, this was hard to write especially the dialogue of Shizu. Even after rewriting it for many times, I am still not completely satisfied with it. But what can I do as with my current level of writing I don't think I will be able to improve it. Anyway hope you enjoyed this chapter and see you in the next one. Goodbye for now.)
