Opening my eyes, I found myself in a space similar to the one that I had been in at the end of the Tutorial Tower.
[Welcome to the Guild Creation Space! As your reward for being the first to clear the 10th floor trial, your first guild attribute will be free, whilst all prices will be discounted by 50%!]
After this message disappeared, a window that looked like the shop opened up.
There were three tabs up at the top of the window.
The first was "Buffs".
The second was "Weapons".
The third was "Bases".
"Buffs" was pretty self explanatory. Anybody in the guild would have a certain "Buff" just by joining. The only downsides to the "Buffs" was that each guild was only allowed one, once one guild had a buff, no other guild could buy it, and that they were really, really, expensive.
Of course, I would be using the one free attribute to buy a buff.
The second tab sold "Weapons" that were given to every single guild member, and then based on their contribution points, they would be able to upgrade their weapon accordingly.
Also, like the "Buffs", once a guild bought a weapon, no other guild could buy the same weapon, meaning that each guild had a unique guild weapon.
Unlike the "Buffs" though, you could buy multiple guild weapons, of course, this was only if you had the money for it.
The third tab sold plots of land that you could build guild bases on, or just straight up buildings. Guild bases were literally just places where guild members could rest, buy supplies, and upgrade and/or customize their weapons.
The prices for these places usually got more expensive the higher the floor you wanted to build a base on.
With all of that explained, to you, the reader, I finally started picking and choosing.
I immediately started searching up the guild attributes that I needed, because I had already planned a long time ago what I would make my guild to be.
"Search, "Backstab"."
Immediately, the list of "Buffs" reduced to only one option.
Clicking on it, I read the description to make sure it was the correct one.
[Guild Buff: Backstabber (S)
Description: "What?!!!! How could you betray me?!!!!" Those were the last words uttered by the strongest guildmaster before he died at the hands of his best friend.
Characteristic: Allows guild members to join other guilds and circumvent loyalty restrictions.
Cost: 100,000,000 TC]
'Damn, even I can't pay that amount right now. I think... Yeah I'm pretty sure that only player "Greed" can pay that off.'
'Well, who cares? That's the correct buff.'
[Would you like to use your "Free Pass"?]
Clicking the button with the "Yes" on it, I finalized the purchase of my future guild's buff.
After confirming the purchase, I couldn't help but rub my hands together.
'Finally, finally! My dream is being realized!'
Suppressing my teenage excitement, I moved on to the weapons.
This was probably going to be the most important decision that I would make today.
You see, I had been going back and forth between a few different weapons for the entirety of my climb up the Tutorial Tower, trying to figure out which one would be the most useful for my entire guild.
But now, I didn't have the time anymore and had to make a decision.
So, I decided to choose the option that would most benefit my guild members until the 70th floor.
Before telling you what I would buy, let me explain my decision. (A/N: Come on! Stop breaking the fourth wall man!)
You see, currently, in the Tower, there were no useful "guns" yet.
When the players that picked the "Sniper" position first chose a weapon, they almost all chose to use bows instead of guns. "Why?" well, it was because the only guns available in the shop right now were old fashioned muskets, which were incredibly weak and hard to use.
And, with my knowledge of the Tower, I knew that the first time that real "guns" would appear, would be on the 70th floor, so there was a severe lag time in between when players joined the Tower, and when they would be able to purchase guns.
So I knew, that by then, when players reached the 70th floor, the wouldn't even consider buying the guns anymore, because they had all chosen and gotten used to a weapon for the longest time. Why would the need to throw away the weapon they were comfortable with just to learn a new weapon, that might be weaker than the one that they were used to already?
Because of all these factors, I knew that buying the guns right now would greatly benefit my guild members, as they hadn't gotten that used to their weapons yet, and could switch weapons at any time at this point in the game.
And, with guns, my guild members would be unstoppable.
"I'll be buying the "Sniper", the "Rifle", and the "Pistol" as my guild weapons. Also, please upgrade them all to level 5."
[That will be 500,000 TC. Please confirm the purchase.]
Pressing the "Yes" button, I watched as the options for the guns disappeared off the "Guild Creation Space".
After that, instead of buying any plots of land or any buildings, I just swiped past it and pressed confirm.
[Are you sure you want to continue?]
"Yes."
With that, the guild shop thingy disappeared and I was left in the space.
[Would you like to access the guild settings?]
"Yes."
Another blue screen popped up, but this time, instead of the many columns reminiscent of the shop, all I saw were toggles.
Quickly scrolling through the list, I kept most toggles on the default setting which was "On", before finding the section I needed to change.
I pushed 3 of the toggles in this section to "Off" before scrolling all the way down, clicking one more toggle, and then clicking "Confirm".
[Are you sure you want to restrict your guild to only those with the "Sniper" and "Assassin" positions?]
"Yes."
[Are you sure you want to make your guild a private guild?]
"Yes."
[Confirmed!]
The blue panel with the toggles disappeared before the final system prompt appeared.
[What would you like to name your guild?]
"Mirage."
[Please confirm the name of your guild: "Mirage"?]
"Confirm".
[Congratulations on being the first player to form a guild!]
[Your fame has increased by 20 points!]
[Transporting player "Shinubwa" to the setting of the 11th floor.]
As the same white light started engulfing me, I looked at the last message in my vision.
[You have passed the "Strength" trials. We welcome you to the trials of "Trust".]
The white light completely engulfed me, and my vision turned dark.
A/N: So, you guys probably don't read any of that stuff that used to be below anymore, so I just deleted it.
Sorry for the late upload.
Due to the fact I didn't upload yesterday, I'll be writing two chapters for OTR tomorrow after my chapters of WRDIN. (You see, on the synopsis of these novels, I just said 7 chapters a week, not 1 chapter each day.)
Well, see y'all tomorrow.
Thanks for reading!
75 PS - 1 extra chapter
100 PS - 1 extra chapter
150 PS - Another extra chapter
200 - ??? (I'll go there if we even get there, although I seriously doubt it.)
