Lesson Two - Part 2

"Okay then. Tell me about the Seven Grand Kingdoms. Who's the number 1?" I huffed, changing the topic.

"The Seven Grand Kingdoms are ranked based on how strong the citizens' magical powers are and their overall economic wealth. The number one ranked is Aesira, my original home country. Their kingdom could be found on top of Mount Olympia where most of the powerful wizards, witches, elves, alchemists and other beings live. They have their own center of resources, thus the reason why they're the only one who doesn't care about Domhnall's resources. They also have an Elder Dragon there who serves as the King's advisor for almost 800 years now. But, as of now, the throne has been empty for nearly a century due to the lack of a worthy ruler. The Elder Dragon is currently the one acting as their nation's leader. He's also the one who judges who becomes the next ruler." She now sounds like some sort of teacher on a lecture.

I temporarily covered the entire room with time-stopping magic as she continued to relay all of the basic information about this world that I needed without wasting precious ticking time.

To make everything short, Humans are the laughing stock of the entire world except if they have the innate talent of being able to wield what little puny magic that they could or become Alchemists who would serve more stronger beings. It's the mere reason why all of the other kingdoms in Aleggria, excluding Aesira, give little value to Humans and their lives.

Lithelle, the second rank, is known for their king's very cunning personality and his very efficient use of his talents as a Siren. Most of their riches come from doing business with the lower-ranking kingdoms.

Elrath, the third rank, is ruled by Queen Aranea, an Arachnid who has the lower body of a Black Widow spider and an upper body of a young woman. She rules over monsters who are more monstrous in appearance than humanoid-like. Their military power alone is what makes them deserving to be the third in rank.

Seveia, the fourth in rank, is the center of agricultural resources who distribute to all kingdoms except to Aesira. They're mostly composed of Fairies and Dwarves, beings who devote their lives to nature and wildlife. Their leader, the Fairy King is said to be the second oldest being in this world, next to Aesira's Elder Dragon.

Freva, the fifth in rank, is the hometown of blacksmiths and merchants where different races live together in peace. They distribute their weaponry to all of the kingdoms to attest to their neutral stance in politics. Their King, Vyn Esmerella, is an Elf Warlock who also came from Aesira before leaving the country like Cassandra.

Ratri, the sixth in rank, is filled with Artisans who are masters of crafting, art and music. To make up for their lack of military strength and weak magic, they create the finest jewelries, furniture, and other things that they sell and trade with other countries.

According to Cassandra, Ratri is usually the one who invades Domhnall before the country fell into the hands of Lithelle. Their Queen, Anya Igniss, is a well-known half-Nymph Alchemist who's greedy for experimenting on new things and acquiring new resources so she could expand her knowledge and skills. Apparently, she someday wants to be the next ruler of Aesira.

Out of all the kingdoms, Domhnall is no doubt deserving to be on the bottom of the list. It's not because of their lack of magic power, but because their king is a goddamn idiot who doesn't have a brain.

If only he used his head instead of being the annoying coward that he is, Domhnall should be placed at least fourth in the ranking. This country could've already been rich enough to acquire more than enough military and magic power but he chose to ultimately destroy its bright future before it could even begin.

I would most definitely have fun with this kingdom.

I disabled my power and time started to tick back. I broke off eye contact with Cassandra and she just smiled at me gently as if I didn't just interrogated her for more than an hour. She then proceeded to ask the basic questions about me.

She checked my body if I had any injuries while we're engaging in small talk. She asked about my supposed amnesia but I used my power so she would stop asking or even thinking about that.

"If you want, you could stay here in Domhnall. Humans, after all, are the most welcome here." She said, a hint of sadness in her tone.

"Is there something wrong? You look like something's bothering you." I asked, pretending to be concerned.

"Oh, no. It's fine. There's nothing to be worried about." She shook her head gently. Her voice and actions are betraying her, but I didn't press any further since I know why she's acting like this.

"If you want someone to talk to, I'm here. It's the least I could do for you after helping me." I said, placing a hand on her shoulder. She nodded and I feel her mood lifting as I have predicted.

We exited the room and we see Lyonel still sitting on one of the chairs near the entrance. He immediately stood up and asked me if I was fine.

"I'm fine, thank you. You've helped me more than enough, Lyonel." I smiled at him, making him lightly blush.

His innocence is extremely amusing to me. I might keep him around longer than I expected.
