Chapter 1 - The Black Box (Edited)

It was late at night, and it was the full moon. However, the folks have not yet fallen asleep.

"Go after that jerk!"

"You Tiny Thief!"

A crowd is chasing a young man carrying an unknown object. They are heavily armed.

A Black box made with unknown material did not look shiny but it was cold to touch

"F*ck! This is far too much! "What did I do?" A young man moaned as he fled for his life.

Do you want to know why this young man is important to this story? Let's go back an hour.

The young man had no idea why he had done what he had done. His objective was different, but when he spotted the black box, he felt compelled to take it.

Oro Gold City's mayor is commemorating his tenth year in office. He planned a town-wide celebration.

It is an Oro Gold City, and it is one of the cities in Paya Country. The city is well-known for having a lake the size of a sea.

Paya Country is one of the world's numerous countries, located on one of the world's ten continents.

The city gained its name from a local mythology about an Oro who once lived there and guarded the city against the beast tide.

The name Oro refers to a golden water dragon. So the city was named Oro Gold City.

They are unaware that Oro is still alive and sleeping beneath the lake, or that its offspring reside in the city.

That's another story for another time. Tuna, a young man, was on trial for his involvement with the nefarious EL Society.

He aimed to assassinate as many individuals as possible at the ceremony, which was hosted at City Hall.

The young man had no idea why he had done what he had done. His objective was different, but when he spotted the black box, he felt compelled to take it.

Unfortunately, I was shocked that he found out he was incapable of stopping himself from taking a black box.

He got the feeling that the box was beckoning to him and that he wanted to go grab it.

He was killed shortly after snatching the box due to a dumb trap.

Ting! [The system chooses to notify the host]

A new soul takes over Tuna's body on the spot. Unfortunately, because he was being hunted, he didn't have time to absorb the prior owner's memories.

This time, New Tuna discovered he was clutching a black box. He had no idea what it was, and he believed it was why he was being hunted.

The black box shook its body as if it were excited.

The host is turning on the system. [Please wait after the system has completed its work.]

[1%], [5%], and [25%] are the percentages.

2 hours after that

[98% completed, please wait for system activation]

The Black Box was trembling with excitement at this point.

"This box is weird; perhaps I should use it as a decoy," New Tuna reasoned as he flung the black box into the crowd chasing him.

For someone who had no idea why he was being pursued in the first place, it seemed like the best option at the time.

He had no idea that he had just squandered a fantastic opportunity in his new life and caused his misery. Because of a simple oversight.

[Error in Activation]

[The host rejects the system by tossing the system token.]

[The activation has been revoked]

Even after he used the black box as a ruse. The mob pursued him, not intending to let him escape.

Tuna was fatigued after running for 20 hours and decided to stop because he knew he could outrun the horde chasing him.

And he surrendered to his fate. The day after his public execution.

Tuna had no idea what was happening before he died again. He can dismiss it as a silly dream or nightmare.

Something else interesting was going on within the black box that the others were not aware of.

There is life inside the Black Box, and he was throwing a tantrum inside the box.

Even the being inside the black box knows that no matter what it does, no one will hear it.

If the activation was unsuccessful,.

"AHH! F*ck! Tuna! Why! Why did you toss me? only 2% before activation!"

"Why is activation so difficult?"

"I'm either incompatible or I wasn't enabled."

"Fu! AHHH! "20 times!"

A mixture of sobbing and shouting can be heard inside the dark box.
