Chapter12

#Chapter12

Full Moon

I woke up with my back aching as if I've slept on the floor for a whole year. Slowly, I fluttered my eyes open, /"Oh, my back,/" I whined.

Even with my hazy vision, I could easily sense Phoebe's presence beside me. I could feel her cautious eyes watching my every move, as if I'd start shifting any second. I could smell the fright radiating off her skin mixed with determination. That alone had me waking up completely.

I was about to raise my hand and rub the sleep from my eyes when I heard two metals clanging together just as I felt restraint from my hand, disabling me to do whatever I was about to do. My head shot up to my right hand which is now chained on one side of my bed. I wriggled it out to no avail; it only made the metal clanging louder and more annoying.
