Chapter 32

"So, do you have the money?" One of Ivan's men showed up at the bar. It was quite odd. Henko was giving an address to send the money, and he had been. Little at a time. He would send them enough to where by the end of the month, he had paid what he had owed on the fee. However, lately, the men have been coming to his bar in person requesting money. When Henko had questioned why there were coming, none would give him a straight answer. It was always "Its business.'' What did that even mean? The worse part was when the man walked in, he would always give off the thug aura that would bring down the happy bar vibe down to a zero. What irritated Henko the most, is when the man would announce why they were there. Henko never understood why they did that. If they really didn't want him being there, he could easily sell the bar like he tried to before. If he even made a claim that he would sell the bar, Ivan's men would tell him not to if he valued his life. Henko was completely stuck. He didn't know what to do. Handing the money over, the man made some crude remarks before leaving. Henko never wanted to start anything with them. So, he always allowed them to say whatever kind of remarks they wanted to him, as long as they left the bar with no damages.

"Protection service my ass." Henko whispered to himself. They were just gangsters shaking down people that were weaker than them. Henko was one of them. There was no way that he could fight against them even if he wanted to.

"I see those nasty men had come back again." Amy spoke out. Henko didn't even see the girl walk up to counter.

"Yeah," was all Henko said.

"I really wish we could stop them from coming here."

"I too, but knowing how men like them work— "

"That it will never happen yeah yeah." Amy spoke cutting off Henko. "Every time they come here, they freak out the customers." Henko looked around the bar. The girls and guests were trying to forget what just happened. Henko knew that it would take a bit to get the joyous feeling back into the bar after that man left.

"At least they are not shooting up the bar."

"That's true." Amy replied. "Even I think that if they damaged the bar one more time that it would never recover again." How right Amy was. Henko still owed on the bar. The last thing he wanted to do was pour more money in it to fix the damages those damn Mafia men did. That really hurt him financially. The men that come in demanding for protection money was not helping in the least bit.

"What are you beautiful ladies talking about?" Henko looked over and saw Dante walking over to the counter. Amy shot up and began to blush.

"Oh…You are such a smooth talker."

"I was told that before." Dante smirked. Amy gave a small smirk back.

"Well, I'm going back to work. I will let you guys have your cute moments." Amy walked off to the host area leaving the two others at the counter.

"So, what were you two talking about?" Dante questioned.

"Nothing to worry about." Henko responded. "So how was your day?"

"Oh. You asking as a bartender or as a lover?"

"Really? You are asking that question." Henko set down a glass of Dante's favorite liquor.

"I didn't eve— "

"That's what you always drink. So, I know that you would ask for it sooner or later."

"Oh, and so you giving me the drink sooner." Dante laughed.

"Whatever." Henko spoke out. Dante chuckled a bit and took a sip of his drink.

"Actually, there is something that I wanted to talk to you about." Dante sat down his drink. Henko listened as he washed some glasses he had received from one of the girls. "I want to take you somewhere you will never forget."

"Oh. And where would this be."

"It's a secret, but I want to take you. I think you will enjoy it to the fullest." Henko heart couldn't help but beat faster.

Was he meaning a date? I have never been on one before. "Okay. When will this secret rendezvous happening?" Dante smirked.

"This weekend. You will go right?" Henko thought for a moment.

"Yeah. I guess I will." Henko tried to seem as if he didn't care. However, on the inside he was extremely excited for what will come.
