Brother Lu

She visited the office to finalize her work since she had decided to go. She used to work in the company as adviser that used to focus on technology. It was neither big nor small company but it used to earn fair amount of annual profit. She was the member of this company since it was established. She had some shares too. She didn't need to visit company daily except during meetings.

It was getting dark. She had decided to return home.

As she was passing by the street to get her car, she saw Professor Lu. He was in the middle of discussing something with receptionist of institute next to the company she worked.

This institute was pretty renowned for getting their students in 'A' university of capital. It was always filled with students preparing for college entrance exam.

It seems like he was convincing them. He was showing 6 fingers and doing OK sign. The receptionist was smiling awkwardly not knowing what to say.

As she was getting closure she heard him say, "Per class I will pay you 200 yuan."

Since he was paying money then he really must be in tight spot after all he really was a stingy man.

The receptionist smiled apologetically.

Unknowingly she stood right in front of the instituted and glanced inside. With the clear view she saw there was also another middle aged man talking with Professor Lu. He was Manager Tan.

Manger Tan was the person who had big belly bulging when he used to move around. With the round body, bald head and smiling face, he was the miniature of laughing Buddha. He gave off an image of very joyful and peaceful man. He always had this loving smile hung on his lips. But she always felt that instead of looking like the Buddha he resembled the serial killer that she had watched when she was little. To her his vibe of sly old fox was too strong. Since he can't go on hunting, he will lure his food to his place.

"We can't do this Old Lu. If it was other time, we would help you. But it is the peak of season. In next few days we will get fresh meat so to attract them we must have this teacher."

"I am not asking all teachers, only one will do and I am paying-"

"Old Lu, this will be unfair to our teachers. Each of our teacher are very capable and we pay them fairly. If we asked them to work for 200 per class how will they feel, tell me. They can't work for money less than 500."

So it was about the money. How will this Manager Tan let go the opportunity to pinch of the money.

"I can't increase the money anymore. My wife just had the surgery. We need to save some money in case there will be complication and we had to next surgery."

So his wife was really in hospital. Everyone in the university thought he was faking it.

"No-Old Lu without this much amount we can't let our teachers work for you. They also need to earn money. In this season only they can get extra bills for their work."

Old Lu stood there silently. May be he was thinking about money.

Manager Tan saw her and called in loud voice, "Hello Miss Yu!"

Damn that shrilling voice! She hated to be called in that pitch gaining attention from everyone.

She nodded to him as greeting.

Professor Lu looked at her soon tuned next side snorting.

"Professor Lu, I have something to talk to you."

"Oh! Miss Yu was looking for Professor Lu. I thought you are also looking for assistant teacher like Professor Lu. Sure you are very diligent person seems like you have already completed your work. "

"Professor Lu! Hurry up we should not make such you-"Manager Tan stopped midway and added" elegant lady to wait"
