Chapter -14

'Sigh. I should not think about it rather I should think about my training.' He thought. It is still day time currently and he is sitting on the rooftop looking around.

The sounds of bird chirping and insects buzzing helps him to calm down and forget the incident that took place few moments ago.

'Let's see first I need to learn breathing techniques then the demon slayer mark, transparent world and selfless state- Wait a second if I have the same gifts as yoriichi shouldn't I also have the mark and transparent world from the birth. Is it different because I wasn't born instead I spawned here. Do I need to unlock it by training?'

"Yes that must be it. I need to train to unlock them." He murmured it loud. Soon realising his mistake he looks around to see if anyone heard him. Luckily there was no here. Well there were but they were too far away to listen his muttering.

'But why was she angry ? Is it because I left the estate? No that shouldn't be because I already told Aoi about it. Unless she...No that isn't possible or maybe it's possible but I only met her a few days ago.'

'I hope it's what I think is because well I also like her. My love is so cheap you say? Well I also think so because I gave it to a person who I met 3 days ago. And maybe not to a single person.'

The Image of Mitsuri comes to his mind. Her training him, her comforting him when his muscles were in pain. Making Sakura mochi for him these images brought a soothing warmth and comfort in his chest and mind.

Same is for Shinobu too. Her emotional breakdown infront of him, her training him and well...her demon mode according to him.

But then he remembered the kiss and blushed a bit. 'Hmm wait a minute she said I had lipstick on my lips but I didn't saw any in the mirror when I checked. Maybe she was too tired and blabbered it.'

He sits on the rooftop for few more minutes before shaking his head and going back to his room.

Unknown to him both Mitsuri and Shinobu were looking at him from their hiding spot.

(Flashback)

Mitsuri was back from her mission shortly after Kenji left her Estate. Not finding him in her estate she panicked and quickly came to butterfly estate to inform Shinobu about it.

Shinobu was sitting on her desk doing her usual paperwork. Being a hashira doesn't only mean fight, fight and more fight, there are other duties of hashira too.

Mitsuri knocked on her door even though she was panicked, she didn't wanted to be rude. 'Open it open it.' she was chanting this in her mind.

Shinobu gave her permission and Mitsuri entered or more like dashed in her room. "Shinobu chan ! Ken is not at my estate. Did he return here? Is he here? Tell me."

Her entry took Shinobu by surprise and her panicking made it even more surprising. "Ken? Who are you talki- Ooh Ara Ara did you give Kenji a nickname? And yes he is here."

Mitsuri let out a sigh of relief hearing that but blushed when she heard Shinobu talking about her giving Kenji a nickname. "Yes I did, I wanted to give him a cute nickname. And you might not believe it but I kisse-"

"Kissed him? I know. I saw the same shade of lipstick on his lips as yours." Shinobu said with an irk mark on her forehead. Truth to be told if it wasn't for system she would have Locked Kenji away from the outside world, it includes keeping him away from Mitsuri too but for now she would try to learn and share him.

"Ehh? Don't be mad if I kissed him on lips before you as you were the one who was kissed by him on cheek first." Mitsuri said with an hint of smugness in her voice.

(A/n:- This drama will continue until they confess to him and don't worry it will be done before the final selection.)

"Ara~ But I kissed him on lips after he came back from your estate and the fun part is he wasn't sleeping or an accidentall kiss. He was wide awake and it was a willing kiss." Shinobu said with an smug face. Even though it wasn't a willing kiss but he didn't fight back so it was a willing kiss according to her.

There was dead silence in the room after that. Mitsuri looks down and speaks in low voice. "Did he kiss you back?" She needed to confirm it.

Because if he didn't then she won't need to inflict the punishment she was thinking on him for cheating on her back. Even though they aren't even in a relationship it is considered cheating according to her.

"Well sadly no, it was a simple peck on his lips."

"Where is he currently?"

"Hmm~ I told him to go to his room so he would be there." Shinobu said.

"But wait a second. Why didn't you ask Aoi or other girls if Kenji is here or not? Mitsuri san." Shinobu asked

Mitsuri stopped and realised that she could have asked others but she came to Shinobu directly. "Uhh I forgot, I was too panicked to even notice."

Shinobu sighed before smiling her usual smile. "If you want to meet him let's go together." She said. If she gets a chance to stay with him, she would stay as much as she can also she gets to be rid of the paperwork.

(Present time)

They both saw him going back to his room. "He was blushing? But why?" Mitsuri asked.

"Maybe because he remembered our kiss." Shinobu looks away from the place where he was and looks at Mitsuri who was blushing and....drooling?

Mitsuri was looking at the spot he was sitting and Shinobu also looks that way and understood it immediately 'She is such a simp for him. Drooling at the sight of him blushing? And- wait why is she looking at the place he was sitting. It's not what I think it is right? Right?'

"Mitsuri san you are drooling and what are you thinking about?" Shinobu asked while still smiling but her eyebrows were twitching from annoyance. 'Only immature can't control their emotions.' She was chanting this in her mind.
