Chapter 13 : REST FOREVER

"Help us!" Blitray yelled as he ran back to the village, carrying Ami.

Zoar was awakened by this and ran outside, soon being followed by Kasstia aswell.

Zoar looked around and saw Blitray carrying Ami. A bead of sweat rolled down Zoar's face.

He ran up to Blitray.

"What happened?" Zoar said.

"She was attacked by that monster! She must've followed me when I went after it, but I killed it after it attacked her!" Blitray had a very worried look on his face, although no one knew it was fake.

"Is she alive!?" Kasstia ran up to Ami and felt her neck.

"Yes, I believe so..." said Blitray, looking devastated.

"What the Hell is going on!?" Maurice ran out of his house yelling.

"Ami was attacked by the monster." Zoar said.

Riley came running out of his house.

"Did I hear that right?" He came running over to the group.

"Yes..." Kasstia said.

"She alive?" Riley looked at Zoar.

Zoar nodded.

"Well let's go put her to bed. Will one of you watch over her until morning?" Riley looked at everyone.

"I will..." Blitray stepped forward with a look of grief.

"Don't blame yourself, Blitray. It isn't your fault..." Kasstia said.

"I volunteer take responsibility for it though..." Blitray said, looking down at Ami.

"Alright then... Let's all calm down and go back to sleep. We can look more into this in the morning, she may have just been knocked out..." Riley started back to his house.

Maurice yawned and started to his.

"Let's go Zoar..." Kasstia started to their's.

Zoar followed.

When everyone wasn't facing towards Blitray, he smiled and started back to the house he was staying in

•••

"It's 6:30 PM and she's still asleep..." Zoar couldn't figure out why Ami was still asleep.

Blitray walks into the kitchen where everyone was.

"I know what this is..." he said.

"What is it?" Kasstia jumps up from her chair.

"She has a rare sickness that makes her sleep until cured... It doesn't have a offical name, but people call it 'Black Coma'." Blitray looked devastated still.

Zoar kind of felt bad for him.

"How do you cure it!?" Maurice said.

"Theres a rare plant that grows at the top of No Man's Mountain in Reddane..." Blitray said.

Reddane! Reddane was a country on the other side of the world.

"Reddane!? How are we supposed to get there!?" Kasstia was crying now.

Zoar began to realise that Kasstia was a very caring person, even for someone she hasn't known for a full day yet.

"That place is across that damn world!" said Maurice.

"Do not worry... I will go alone." Blitray turned to everyone.

"I cannot help but blame myself for this disaster..." A tear went down Blitray's face.

"Blitray you-" Kasstia was cut off.

"Don't you guys need to be getting to Astran? Blitray seems like a strong person, you should trust him to be able to go and get this plant alone, shouldn't you?" Riley said.

"He's right." Zoar said.

"Where will she stay while we're all gone?" Asked Zoar.

"I would, but I'm gonna be alot more busier now that the beast in the forest is gone... sorry." Riley said, scratching his head.

"That's fine. I will take her to Zoar's mother's house." Blitray said.

"And do not worry, I have plenty enough Satu to give your mother so she will be able to care of Ami, herself and then some." Blitray said.

"I guess that'll work." Zoar said.

Everyone went silent for a few moments.

The atmosphere was starting to lighten up.

"I suppose, we should part ways tomorrow morning then..." Maurice said.

"That seems like the best plan of action." Zoar said.

•••

Everyone was outside the next morning at 8:00 AM, ready to leave.

"I should arrive at Klara's house by 5:00 PM... I'll inform her on everything and give her 50,000 Satu." Blitray was carrying the sheet wrapped Ami like a backpack.

"Alright, I guess this is goodbye for now." Zoar said.

Blitray nodded and turned around.

They all watched him walk into the forest until he was out of sight.

"Well, it was nice seeing you again, Riley." Maurice and Riley were doing a weird handshake.

"See ya later, brother!" Riley pushed him in the shoulder.

"Right!" Maurice grinned.

"It was nice meeting you two, take care and take down Neal!" Riley held out his hand to Zoar.

Zoar shook it firmly.

"Goodbye Riley, thank you for your kindness!" Kasstia bowed.

"It was nothing!" Riley grinned.

"Alrighty then, looks like we're heading out now!" Maurice waved at Riley and began walking, Zoar and Kasstia soon following behind.

The wind was blowing lightly, making the leaves rustle softly as they ventured down the path leading to Astran.

"Hey Zoar, what exactly are we planning to do to stop Neal?" Kasstia asked.

"I have to confront him. That's all I know for now. If you two have anything to say to him, then be my guest." Zoar was gripping the handle of his sword as he spoke.

Kasstia touched his hand.

Surprised, Zoar looked up at her. She had a concerning look on her face that Zoar could tell was saying "Are you Okay?".

Zoar let go of the handle and nodded.

"Y'all back here holding hands?" Maurice was walking backwards pointing at their touching hands.

"No." Zoar said.

"Oh uh, no!" Kasstia was blushing.

Maurice looked at them and raised an eyebrow.

"Well...Alright!" Maurice said and spun back around.

Zoar wasn't alright. The thoughts of killing Neal after confronting him lingered in his mind, but he knew that Neal deserved a life sentence in prison. Neal Abrain would rot in a cell until his death bed.

The thought brought happiness to Zoar.

"He deserves the worst fate..." Zoar said aloud.

Maurice and Kasstia looked at him.

"Damn right! Wait... we're talking about Neal, right?" Maurice scratched his head.

"Of course! Neal is the definition of cruel!" Kasstia said.

Zoar smirked. He was beginning to feel emotions for 24 hours a day now.

These people he's met have saved him.
