Selling Herbs

Returning to her residence, Guo Wen sat down and began cultivating again. Although she had a demon core, she did not exactly know how to use it, and instead opted to save it for tomorrow night.

Opening her eyes in the morning, she found herself to be refreshed and energetic. Looking down at her body, she found that her injuries had healed. The only thing out of place were the places where her clothes had been torn. Realizing that she had to purchase another set of clothes, she decided to create a list of things that she had to do today.

1) Purchase a new set of clothes

2) Visit the library to learn how to cultivate with a demon core, and also learn more about not just the village, but the world as well.

3) Sell her Night Grass at the market

She needed to learn about the world because while other guilds had multiple players to split up the tasks, she was the only player from her guild and therefore had to split up the tasks. With this list of things to do, Guo Wen then prepared to set off. Yet before doing so, she first inspected her status panel.

Guo Wen noticed that her wealth had dropped by 2 bronze coins again. But more importantly, she noticed that she had gotten less exp from the cultivation session. This made her remember something else she had read about before entering the game. The higher the cultivation, the harder it was to progress. Therefore, it made sense that she gained less exp and she also needed more exp to level up. She now realized the importance of items like demon cores and pills to cultivators because it helped increase their cultivation.

First, Guo Wen decided to visit the alchemist shop. There, she could sell her Night Grass so that she had enough money to purchase another set of clothes.

The village was not notable in any way, so there was no reputable shop like an alchemists association. Those could only be found in cities. Instead, the village had a shop run by an alchemist who could concoct low level mortal pills which could be used by Qi Condensation Alchemists.

Walking into the alchemist's shop, she saw many villagers and other players either inspecting the pills that they would not be able to afford, or scurrying about, performing menial tasks which warranted little money in order to continue to have a place to live and to have a chance at becoming the alchemist's apprentice. Although rumors of her entering the forest had spread to the other players, they were currently to focused on their own tasks and did not notice her.

Walking up to the counter, she saw a receptionist and asked them about selling herbs.

"Um excuse me, but do you know where I could sell herbs to the shop? I recently found a few herbs that I wish to sell."

"Really? Let me take you to the back then. Alchemist Cheng Su needs to verify the authenticity of your herbs before we purchase the herbs from you" the receptionist replied. Then, the receptionist took Guo Wen a back room where they waited for Alchemist Cheng Su.

Sitting her down on a chair in the room, the receptionist then said that Alchemist Cheng Su would be here right when he was done concocting some pills.

---

A few hours passed and Guo Wen was starting to get impatient. Just when she was going to ask the receptionist what was taking so long, the door opened and a middle-aged looking man walked in. Sitting down in a chair opposite to Guo Wen, he asked, "you said that you had some herbs you would like to sell?"

"Yes I have some Night Grass I would like to sell at 2 bronze per batch" Guo Wen replied while taking the Night Grass out of her bag.

To verify the grass's authenticity, Cheng Su picked up the grass and observed it a bit. After feeling the energy in the grass, he was able to confirm that the grass was indeed the Night Grass. Taking out 14 bronze from an interspatial ring on his finger, he handed it over to Guo Wen while taking the Night Grass.

"Good doing business with you Miss Winter Thorn. If you have any other herbs you would like to sell, please visit me again."

With this, both of them said goodbye and left each other. Cheng Su went back to concoct more pills while Guo Wen walked out of the store, still unnoticed by the other players.

With her current wealth at 20 bronze coins, Guo Wen now had more freedom to pick and choose what she wanted to wear. Currently, all of the players didn't have the money to pick and choose their clothes, so they wore the clothes that they spawned with. Therefore, she wanted to pick out something better for herself.
