83: Worthy of love (2)

"Who is it? I can help you win them over, if you want," Xerek offered in kindness. 

I leaned my head on Xerek's shoulder and hooked my arm around his. The images I'd seen of what will come to be had me deep in thought. I never imagined that I'd get a chance to be happy. 

A grand wedding is written in future. I get to have the people I care about cheering me on, I get to have a family. A husband who wishes to spend the rest of his life with me. 

Someone I don't have to force to be with me. I wished time would fly and get to that moment when the Saint proclaims our marriage. 

"What's wrong? You didn't like what you saw?"

I shook my head, I liked what life had in store for my future, I loved it. I don't think life could find a better partner than him for me. However, I didn't want to get ahead of myself. 

The future is uncertain and the choices I make can change the path leading to that destination.
