Chapter 42

"There you go! Now you're all ready!" Sky approves, stepping back to admire her work.

I rasie a brow at her, "You do know I can get dressed myself, right?"

She snorts and gives me a small glare, "Wearing old jeans and a plain simple shirt, is not what I would consider date clothes Amy."

I chuckled, "I didn't know I was aiming to please you your highness."

She fixes the small diamond butterfly clip in my hair, then smiles, "Well, now you know."

I rolled my eyes, "Are you sure you and Ian are gonna be ok?"

She nods her head and walks over to the bedroom door, opening it, "For the millionth time Amy, yes! Jesus child, you act like I'm incapable of handling a small kid. Plus, Bryce is gonna be there. So it's pretty much a smooth walk in the park from here on out."

I sigh, she's right Amy. Quit worrying so much about everything, it's going to be fine. I give her a small smile and then we both walked out of Bryces bedroom. Where Sky demanded I get ready at. Walking down the stairs, Sky went towards the kitchen while I went into the livingroom. Had to get my shoes on.

I froze for a second by all the eye balls that were already turned in my direction when I rounded the corner of the livingroom. Woah, that's alot of people.

"Ooh, hello guys, how are we all doing today?" I politely asked while searching for my shoes, because that's the only way I know how to start a conversation.

An older woman with short pixie red hair and small green eyes scoffed at me, her face reminded me of a bulldog, "This human doesn't know anything about us. So why should we allow her to continue to be our Luna? We're already getting attacked multiple times a week now because they know she's a human!" She hissed to the man on her left.

I seen many of the other men agreeing with the woman words, and then some of them just watched me. Waiting for me to speak.

My mouth went dry and my hands started sweating, "I'm sorry you feel that way ma'am. I don't wish to bring you or this pack any harm-"

"Then why don't you just leave and safe us from the harm uh?" She rudely interrupts me. Then crossed her arms and just glared at me with so much hate, "I mean come on, what can a human actually bring into this pack anyways? So far, all I've seen you bring into this pack is nothing but chaos."

Another tall male with black hair laughs, "I bet she'll be just like the other human Luna, nothing but greedy and selfish. That's all you humans seem to know nowadays. You people think about nobody but yourselves! I mean why not? She came from nothing, not even her own parents wanted her."

I was genuinely shocked while looking at all these grown ups. Is this how the whole pack feels about humans? About me? I could feel the tears start to form on the edge of my eyes. No! Don't cry! Don't you dare cry Amy!

I swallowed hard before holding my head up high, "Look, I know most of you guys have a problem with a human being your Luna. But I'm not her, you don't know a thing about me so please, don't compare me. But you're right about one thing. I don't know everything that I need to know about this pack. I wasn't raised to be a Luna so of course I don't know how everything works. But I'm not going to let the fact that I don't know yet, stop me from learning. Or have your harsh words have any effect on me.

Because we all started from a place of not knowing, even you ma'am," I say to the woman, then looked at the rest of them, "We've all had to learn how to walk, talk, read, and write. Just because someone from the outside doesn't know how to run this pack, doesn't mean I can't learn. Because I will learn. And I know I may not get it right on the first time around, or the third time. But trust me! Eventually I will, I'll know what I'm doing and how to properly run this pack. I just hope that you guys give me a chance to get to know how your world works, and how to improve it for the better, not just for you but for everyone else also. Because.. well, I'm not going anywhere."

They all looked taken aback at my words. And I could see an older male with yellow hair and blue eyes looking at me like I sparked his interest.

I mentally smiled at myself, even though on inside of my head. I'm LITERALLY screaming 'I can't believe you just did that!' over and over again!

I give them a small smile and turned to the man who spoke, "And you're right, I don't have any partents. But I do have manners, so if you'll excuse me," I say, walking around them to pick up my shoes.

"Well I like her, she's got some spunk," the blonde headed man said with an award wining smile, earning many glares from the others around him.

After putting my shoes on at the door, I stopped and took a deep breath in. Don't let them get to you Amy, don't let them ruin your day. You can do this. After collecting myself and getting my shit together, I walked outside to see Christian holding Ian in his arms. They were dressed in matching outfits.

They both had on a pair of nice blue jeans and a black dress shirt, it matched the color of Christians eyes. With a cute red bow around Ians neck and a smooth red tie hanging down from Christians. Once both of them seen me, they instantly smiled.

"Mommy looks pretty!" Ian exclaimed, holding his arms out for me when I stopped next to them.

I laughed and took him from Christians arms, "Talk about me looking pretty, look at you handsome!"

This makes him smile big, showing me all of where his missing teeth were .

"I know I know, Chris says it's the bow," he then says with a shake of the head and a deep sigh.

I looked at Chris real quick before laughing again, "Yes, it IS the bow, it makes it so hard to not give you kisses... Ooh come here!"

I rapidly start kissing all around his face. Making him let out hysterical laughs while begging for me to stop. Once I did stop and his laughing fits died down, he hands me a red rose.

"I'm supposed to give you this," he says, leaning in to kiss my cheek, then hops down from my arms and takes off running.

I looked over at Chris to see that he had a rose in his hand also. Holding it out for me.

"You look absolutely breathtaking Princess," he praises, leaning in to kiss my lips.

"- yep we sure can! We can play all sorts of games and stay up all night telling scary stories in our pillow fort!" I hear Bryce telling Ian happily. Ian throws his hands up and cheers with joy.

"Don't stay up t -" I was cut off when Chris drew me in for another hungry kiss, tangling his fingers throughout my hair.

Aaaand I completely forgot what I was about to yell about! Great. He smirks against me before pulling back, both of his hands still cupped my dizzy head.

"Lets go Princess," he said, then opens the car door for me.

I blushed red as I got inside, Chris shuts my door and got in on the other side.

"Am I allowed to ask where we're going?" I asked once he got onto the main highway.

He nods, "You can ask me anything you want to Princess," he said, before reaching over to take ahold of my hand and locking them together.

"Really?" I say it like I'm surprised for some reason. I shouldn't be, Christian is always there to answer any and every question I have.

Mmm, I don't know if I should bring up all of what Bryce told me. This was supposed to be a date, we're suppose to be having fun. I go to open my mouth.

"But!" He cuts in quickly, giving me a sideways glance and a stunning smile, "I get to ask you anything as well."

     Ooh you sly little bit-

"Ok!" I found myself agreeing too quickly.

I'm only agreeing to this because I really wanna know what happened between the two brothers, and why they would hate each other.

He laughs and brings my hand up to kiss the back of it, "Alright then, shoot."

I smiled and opened my mouth, but nothing came out. It was like a major brian fart went off in my head and the gas cloud is fogging up all my questions! All of a sudden I couldn't think of nothing. Then after a few seconds of just having my mouth hang open. I closed it and looked down.

"Uhm, maybe you should go first," I say.

He nods slightly, "Alright, I'll start with the easy one. What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever done?"

My eyes widened, "That was the easy one!?" I sqeaked out.

He laughs and continues to look at the road, waiting for my answer. I leaned my back against the seat and thought for a moment.

Ugh, how does he expect me to pick just one embarrassing moment? There's just so many moments in my life to out pick one in specifically.

What can I say? I'm a very unlucky person.

I sigh, "When I was a little girl, I was probably around 8 years old. I lived with a couple who had a lot of other kids living there as well. I remembered the kids use to love playing truth or dare with each other. And of course, they always had to drag me along in that little fun game of theirs."

     "Don't tell me-"

"Wait! Wait wait! Don't jump ahead of it now," I shushed him, then smiled and continued, "Anywho, the couple had a really big log in the backyard. They always told us to not go near it cause there was an evil bunny who lived there, and it's favorite meal was a fresh kid. So naturally one kid dared me to crawl into the log and lay there for 30 minutes."

He raised a brow, "Did you?"

I sighed again, "Yeah... I had my flashlight in one hand and a water gun in my other. Don't judge me, I was little and scared as fuck. I was not about to let a rabbit end my life. But when I was crawling in there, I could see what looked like a rabbit, with some cool spikey fur."

     "Ooh no."

"You're damn right oh no! I got poked in the ASS trying to hurry and crawl my way out! By a fucking porcupine!" I tell him, earning me another warm hearted laugh from him.

I laughed along with him and playfully slapped his shoulder, "Hey, you weren't supposed to laugh!"

Pretending to be mad. I scoff playfully, then threw his hand over onto his lap and crossed my own. This butthole.

He smiles and reaches over for me, "I'm sorry my little Porcupine. Don't be mad at me."

He chuckles again when I stubbornly ignored him, then takes ahold of my hand again, "I'm sorry Princess, may I ask another question?"

I squinted my eyes at him playfully, then nod for him to continue.

"Do you remember your parents?" He asked, sounding more serious.

Woah. My parents? Why is everyone bringing up my parents? I haven't thought about them in a very long time.

I looked down at my hands, "Umm, I mainly remember being with my mom most of the time. I know my dad was never there," I softly say, but then smiled at one memory in particular, "I remember us always on the run, moving from one place to another. I never knew why, she would always try to keep the grown up business to herself. She always tried to make our life as normal as possible, it wasn't, but she sure as hell tried her best.

But she did always make my birthdays a special day for me. We didn't really have much when I stayed with her. We kinda lived in a shack we found on empty property. But I remember on my seventh birthday, before I got tooken away from her. She stayed up all night making me a special blanket with all of my favorite things on it. From my favorite color which is purple, to my favorite animals and my favorite foods, even to my favorite flowers. I carried that thing almost everywhere with me. I absolutely loved it."

"I reckon you don't still have it?" He asked.

I shake my head no, "I lost it once the police found us living there, along with many other important things to me. (deep sigh) Buuut, I'm sure it's still in that same old shack somewhere out there. And if not, then I hope that it's doing it's purpose somewhere by keeping somebody warm at night."

He turns to look at me with a look of amazement, then turns back to the road with a proud smile on his face.

About 30 minutes later he turns the car into a large open field with a big white tent set up in the middle of it. The tent had lovely pretty purple flowers hanging down from it beautifully. I stare at it in awe for a moment, then turned to Chris with a wide smile on my face.

"Didn't know we were going camping, would've brought my flashlight and water gun," I teased.

He smirks, "Don't worry Princess, already made sure there's no porcupines in any of the logs."

I couldn't help but laugh before lightly smacking his arm.

He smiles and leans over the seat to kiss my cheek, making them heat up. Then gets out of the car and comes around to open my door, holding out his hand for me. I smiled and took his rough warm hand in mine, stepping out of the car.

"Where are we?" I asked as we walked hand in hand towards the big tent.

"A quiet place outside of town, and away from everything," he says stopping at the entrance, grabbing ahold of the curtain and moving it to the side, making an opening for me, "I hope you like it Princess."
