Wade took a deep breath before he decided to talk to Clarissa.
"It's also my fault for being there when Alicia was in a fragile state. But Clarissa, can you imagine how much your mother felt alone, with Thomas always ignoring her and continuing to pursue his obsession?" Wade paused for a moment to see Clarissa's reaction.
"Clarissa! You're a good reason for Thomas. So he can take revenge on me. A daughter who will continue to hate her father. And that's happening now, right? You must think of me as a bastard who snatched the happiness between your parents."
"Clarissa, aren't you aware? Now I ask you! Why is Thomas trying so hard to make you forget your childhood memories? Do you remember how your mother died?" asked Wade.
Clarissa tried to remember, but it felt weird. Did she not know how Alicia died? All she knows is some memories with Alicia, and she can't remember clearly how her mother died.
