A few hours earlier in the same day - at Lewis's house when little Ella had gone to school.
William had just come out of his room. Today he did not accompany little Ella to school. He got an incoming call from Alan Smith while he was having his breakfast with Beatrix and the other servants.
William sighed. He had just read an article about gossip related to Ella and Edward Huxley.
Alan Smith advised him that today, he must continue to be with his daughter. Because Alan Smith seemed to have a bad feeling, which he did not want anything bad to happen to his daughter.
William was just about to enter Lewis's main room when he stopped in his tracks when he saw Alfred Lewis sitting with a tense face.
The man was crossing his legs in his lap. There was a tablet which he was holding and looking at with a fierce look in his eyes.
"Did he already know about the rumors and news?" William thought.
