Frustrated

*Jakes favourite place in the mansion the gym*

Jakes went to work out, home gym, his father got in

.Jakes's father said "burning up some stem."

Jakes said "I thought she wanted a man, someone to lead her and I should make decisions."

Jakes's father said "I don't know what you are talking about son."

Jakes said "its Laura she is driving me crazy, we were having a great time and her wanting things to be done her way she ruined it."

Jakes's father said "couples fights, and son you don't get to make decisions alone you talk to her."

Jakes said "I tried talking to her she changed the topic and I pushed her. Do I have to push her always to really talk to me and say what she really feels?"

Jakes's father said "you two need to learn to communicate, maybe you shouldn't have stop attending couples counselling happy New Year."

Jakes said" what a way to start a new year, couple counselling really dad."

Jakes's father said "what, you did attend them with Laura so what's wrong now?"

Jakes said" we had no problems we were excited about being together forever nothing changed. now will have to really do the work talk there while in the past we were just preparing to have a relationship together not fix us."

Jakes's father said " in the past few months ago son you rushed things but I think you two belong together and I love Laura as my daughter now go learn how to communicate with her."

Jakes said "Like I am the one who does not know how to communicate dad."

Jakes's father said "either way fix this and stop taking out your frustration on me."

Jakes said "I was not doing that I came here to do that."

Jakes's father said" Good luck you will need it, especially if you think you are right and she is the problem that won't fix your issues."

Jakes said "I don't need your advice dad not from you."

They were now working for Jakes father's company, 4 months before graduation. The young couple were now focus on reaching their goals impressing Jakes's father, they were all about work no longer spend time together as before, even though they live under the same roof. The only time they were together, it's when they eat breakfast together and have dinner together, not saying much together and at work they were colleagues didn't have lunch together. They both knew that things have changed now, the used to never get enough of each other. Now" just I am busy right now, whatever you want to talk about can wait".

***jakes called Eric***

Eric said "how are you doing, you sounded not right on the phone and is my sister fine?"

Jakes said "I'm fine, just me and Laura things are not going well."

Eric said "what's going on?"

Jakes said "we are not married yet, but now feels like we are a boring old couple, we used to have fun and spend time together now I don't know."

Eric said "you both have a lot to learn about each other, you will have to talk to her."

Jakes said "we both are not listening to each other and the couple counselling just not helping because we fight over what was said there."

Eric said "things will get better, you dated for few months and got engage, it was fun it felt like you were in paradise but now the real work begins. Relationships are hard work and marriage is not easy."

Jakes said "I want what you have that relationship you have with God, you always have wisdom to share and I love Laura I think I can't be a good Man for her if I don't know the Man who created us."

Just like that jakes was born again, having a relationship with God and going to church. He knew how to be a man, what love is, how to treat Laura. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud." 1 Corinthians 13: 4.

Jakes was now a different man, it showed how he talk walk and how he does things no longer losing his temper towards Laura well he was learning to not easy even when you are Christian.

Jakes said "I thought we should celebrate our results, we did well I knew we would."

Laura said "we should go out, we haven't in a while it's my fault I know. "

Jakes said "it's not your fault, we got excited being our first time in the business world, loved the compliments before we knew it we were working hard to impress being competitive."

Laura said "I miss us you say the right things, do these amazing things and get me red roses every morning. You're always smiling, patient with me and you treat me like I'm the best thing in the world to you whereas I'm not treating you right. "

Jakes said "you are the best thing to have happen to me, we are both young, we want more in life have dreams and goals. Will both figure it out together it won't be easy."

Laura said "I just sometimes get scared getting married is a big deal, and I don't want us to turnout like our parents were living in the same house but no love. It was hard for me and I don't want that for our kids."

Jakes said "she talked about kids and I didn't force the issue yay, I'm kidding babe and I hear you that will not happen to us I love you Laura."

Laura said "I love you so much, I want to go to church with you on Sunday not just Sunday I want to be involved, get into prayer session being part of youth and having Christian couple how will help us with advise share their wisdom to us."

Jakes thought, she is talking about church it's wonderful, it would have been more wonderful to hear she wants to get born again, "I'm not going to focus her lord to get to know you, you will have to do it lord"

Laura went with jakes, to church and the sermon touched her, God was talking to her. She finally surrendered she got born again and this new journey it was not going to be easy. They both prayed together, read God's word together and doesn't mean things were perfect, or the will be no struggles in their way just means God was there with them every step of the way.
